This relaxing and peaceful villa, with a lovely pool and gallery for enjoying the ocean view and the sound of the waves from the sea below, is the perfect island get-away! This beautiful property is on the east end of St. Croix, and a short walking distance to the sandy beach at Smugglers' Cove. Venture a bit further to the amazing beaches around Point Udall, Cramer Park, Teague Bay, Jack and Isaac’s Bay. Or, if you prefer, the island's only casino is less than a 10 minute drive away. Some of the best restaurants on St. Croix are nearby, such as Grapetree Bay Hotel terrace for Sunday brunch, or inside for Asian inspired steak and seafood, Duggan's Reef for your lobster, and casual pubs: Castaways, The Deep End Bar and Grill, and Ziggy's (a favorite local restaurant, gas station, and convenience store). New places open up frequently on the island, so check out the latest guides for more in Christiansted and Fredericksted. The property is only 15 minutes' drive from Downtown Christiansted historic district, the fort, and boat excursions. The airport is 25 minutes away. A car is recommended for eating out, site-seeing, and exploring all that St. Croix has to offer! You may just want to relax at home by your beautiful private pool during the day, or under the bright stars at night. From the pool there is a discreet outdoor shower and entrance to the Master suite. The private Master suite has a King-sized bed, and connects directly with the sitting room, which overlooks the sea. The Master bathroom, adjacent to the sitting room, has a walk in closet and an open shower with a one-way glass for an ocean view. The sitting room has a comfortable day-bed for an extra guest if needed, a TV, and a PS game system. The other two bedrooms are on the other end of the house - each with a comfortable Queen-sized bed. The larger of these bedrooms has an incredible sea view and a sliding glass door leading out to the patio and hammock. The living room has a TV you can use for streaming, or DVD/Blu-ray player with a large DVD collection for nightly movies and a sound system for your use during your stay. Open all of the sliding glass doors during the day to let in the cool Caribbean breeze! The kitchen has everything you need from dishwater, appliances, cookware, and bakeware. Spices and condiments are plentiful, but do vary with guests. There is a coffee pot with filters, or a Keurig if you prefer. The outside patio with dining area is where you will probably spend much of your time relaxing. The view and the gentle sound of the waves draw you in. There is formal seating for six. There is also a poolside bar table and chairs for snacks by the pool. All of the rooms have AC if you need it on those hot humid days, and the whole house is powered by solar panels making it Eco-friendly. The office/sitting room worked perfect as a fourth bedroom. The home had everything we needed and the pool was perfect for relaxing in the evenings after exploring all day. The internet was spotty for the first few days, then didn’t work at all the last four. But the home had tons of movies and shows on DVD and we actually didn’t mind being unplugged. We loved staying on the east side of the island. We were close enough to restaurants and beaches, but far enough away for peace and quiet. The views are to die for. The host was an amazing person. Debbie Williams is the best host and always willing t9 answer and provide information on your stay. At times communication was a little difficult but truly not on her part. Cell service at times is spotty. Other than that we appreciated all Debbie had to offer and the home was a truly amazing experience. We love to stay on St. John however we believe this island and sea change brought a change to our mine. Although St. John will always be number one on our list, this island offers everything we’ve done there and more. Thank you Debbie for a truly amazing experience. The kitchen had everything for eating in. Since we are beach goers we made the best of the packable beach chairs and daily went off in so many directions both to the east at newly restored Cramer Park and West to Spratt Beach and some in between. We did swim three times in the pool which was lovely and super for anyone who wants to bask in the daytime sunshine. We enjoyed many of the DVD movies for evening entertainment. Waking up to beautiful sunsets and spending the day relaxing in the pool and overlooking the ocean was exactly what we needed. The host was super accommodating. We ventured out onto the island and there are several beaches and restaurants within a 5 minute drive. The property is equipped with pool floats,beach towels,and beach gear (chairs, hats, scuba gear, endless sunscreen options). She also had blow dryers and straighteners which could’ve saved me on travel supplies. The property sits high on a hill and accessing the property is tricky but the host helped us get there. A little scary driving up the driveway but we mastered it. If you stay here please read the book “Life in the Left Lane” which is reading material on the coffee table. A few days before arrival we were notified the master bathroom was out of service due to a broken sewer pipe. After my wife & son arrived on 5/31 (my daughter & I arrived the morning of 6/1) they were informed that Sara had a family emergency and would not be meeting them at the airport. Sara attempted to give them directions, but because there was a discrepancy between the house address & the plot number on GPS they drove around for two hours before finding the property. You can’t be the views the front porch has to offer. I heard so much about how “West is Best” on St Croix, but I am so happy we stayed on the east end. We did rent a car and took a few day trips to the west end. Sandy Point is an absolute must. I’ve never seen such beautiful waters. The western point offered the calmest waves and winds when we were there. We enjoyed the Buck Island snorkling cruise where we actually swam with dolphins! The pier offered great opportunities to see sea turtles and beautiful fish. Gecko’s Island Adventure was a lot of fun for our whole family. Use care when visiting Annaly Bay. I didn’t realize it was such a treacherous area. The hike was fine - but I started to wonder why I took my 4 daughters there. They’re all good swimmers but the surf that day would have been no match if they slipped off a foothold. Point Udall and the trail nearby were really neat. I think Seachange was a perfect spot for us to relax and recharge between adventures. There are so many DVDs which provided us with nighttime movies. The kitchen is well equipped and has many helpful seasonings and spices already in the pantry. St Croix was a wonderful place to visit and we all really enjoyed our time at Seachange! ##### Keri H. The views from the property are nothing short of breathtaking. The house was clean and accurately listed. It also had everything we needed for our stay plus so much more.
