RESERVATIONS – Due to a software glitch (don’t book on high volume days), 3 reservations were made in 15 minutes—I immediately cancelled two within the hour. Bungalows on the Bay (BoB) verified two were cancelled, but did not return our money!!! They did not answer a week of emails, so we had to have Expedia contact them (they had problems also) to get our $5K back. Over a week of sleepless nights to straighten this out.
POOL - it was a CESSPOOL. All 10 days there were diving beetles and other bugs LIVING in the water, and a thick growth of algae on the sides and corners. I never saw anyone vacuum it. Some days the water was entirely green (yet still open with people in it). If there is algae in a pool it eats up all the chlorine and the pool is unsanitary—it was not safe to be in the entire vacation
ROOMS – we booked a 400 square foot room, but were put in a 225 square foot room, Cabin 5. A huge downgrade (BAIT AND SWITCH?). We had already moved in, put groceries in the horribly rusty refrigerator, and wiped the room down with Lysol wipes when we noticed how small it was. We didn’t want to waste a half day of vacation arguing with the office and packing and moving to a room that may be worse. 4 cockroaches.
