This 2-bedroom cottage rests in Chiny in the Belgian Ardennes region. The cottage has a private roofed terrace to enjoy great evenings with barbecued meals and open a bottle of wine. The cottage is ideal for a family or group of 4 persons.

There are no boring moments on holiday here. At 7 km, you will find the Orval Abbey, with its famous regional beer. For nature lovers, there are numerous paths nearby to explore on foot or by bike. Take a centuries-old typical descent by boat, departing in Chiny. You can find peace and quiet in the natural beauty of the 8 km of meanders of the Semois. At 0.5 km, you will find the town center, restaurants, and supermarkets.

The cottage has indoor heating for comfort and allows a pet for a small fee. You can sit by the fireplace in the sitting room to spend time together. When the sun is up, you can lie down and relax in the fenced garden. A high chair and a children's bed are provided for little guests. Parking and bicycles are available.

Cette belle petite maison avait tout ce qu'il fallait pour agrémenter un séjour confortable dans le village de Chiny. Les propriétaires ont bien communiqué avec nous et ont été flexibles quant à notre heure d'arrivée le vendredi. Il y a beaucoup de sites naturels et touristiques dans les alentours, et il vaut la peine de vous promener autour du village afin de découvrir son histoire millénaire. Un seul petit bémol- les stores dans les chambres ne bloquent pas super bien la lumière du matin, alors prévoyez un masque pour dormir.

Sweet house with lovely garden in great location

We enjoyed our stay very much. The owners are super nice and made check in and out very easy. The garden is large and totally fenced in, so our dog had a great time. Location is perfect, very quiet, but only 5 minutes' drive to a pretty town with supermarkets, restaurants and bars. Definitely a good choice of place to stay.

We hebben een heerlijke midweek gehad in l'Allouette. Het vakantiehuis voorzag in al onze behoeften. De omheinde tuin was de favoriete plek voor Turi. Hij kan naar hartelust rondjes lopen en koelte opzoeken waar hij maar wilde. Ook prima als uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen en verkenning van de mooie streek de Gaume.

Een heel gezellig en heel goed onderhouden huisje. Voorzien van alles wat men nodig heeft, om zelfs een langere periode te verblijven. Mooi onderhouden afgesloten tuin met 100 procent privacy. Totaal geen last van geluidshinder of dergelijke, zeer rustige omgeving. Ook zeer goed en volledig omheind zodat honden (en eventueel kleine kinderen) er vrij kunnen rondlopen. Kortom een echte aanrader.

Erg vriendelijke ontvangst (net zoals vorige keer, 1 van de redenen dat we teruggekomen zijn). Duidelijke uitleg en een gerieflijk huisje. Basic, maar alles wat je nodig zou kunnen hebben, is dan ook aanwezig. Een erg grote, omheinde tuin maakt het hele plaatje compleet. Super huisje voor ons, en niet te vergeten, onze hond!!!

Een pittoreske vakantiewoning

De vakantiewoning biedt alle comfort voor een geslaagd verblijf. We werden erg vriendelijk welkom geheten door de eigenaars. Bij aankomst stonden 2 flesjes Orval en een potje zelfgemaakte jam voor ons klaar. Het heeft ons gesmaakt, dank jullie hiervoor. De dame in het infokantoor in het dorp is ook erg behulpzaam en spreekt Nederlands. In het dorp is op wandelafstand een superette waar je je dagelijkse inkopen kunt doen. Ook heel lekker brood daar te koop. Iets verderop is een slager met kwaliteitsvol vlees. Het verblijf is een aanrader om volledig te ontstressen en te genieten van de mooie boswandelingen.

Prima vakantiehuis, heel netjes met mooie grote tuin. Heel goed gelegen voor wandelingen en uitstapjes. Heel vriendelijke eigenaars. Enkel staat er bij voorzieningen dat er fietsen aanwezig zijn, deze hebben wij niet gevonden. Kleine verbetering is wel mogelijk aan TV, slechte ontvangst van Belgische TV, We hebben dit gemeldt aan de eigenaars. Wij gaan zeker nog eens terug.

Zeer vriendelijk ontvangen geworden, huisje was zeer proper, niks op aan te merken, grote tuin, alles was er, als er iets was had ik direct contact met de verhuurders, top gewoon, zoals het moet zijn. Verder, de omgeving is super, immens veel wandel- en fietspaden, heel mooie natuur... steden met winkels dichtbij, aanrader. Voor wie Nederlandstalig is en bij Telenet zit raad ik wel yeloplay aan, het is even zoeken op TV voor je je kanalen gevonden hebt. TV kan op laptop aangesloten worden.

De aankomst was goed, vriendelijke ontvangst. De omgeving is heel mooi, perfect om te wandelen. De accommodatie was verouderd. De tuinstoelen waren kapot. In de woning zelf lagen nog producten die vervallen waren, keukenkastjes waren vanbinnen niet proper(nochtans tijdens coronaperiode tijd genoeg gehad om alles in orde te brengen). In de woning zelf hingen nog veel spinnenwebben. De barbecue was beschimmeld, dus niet kunnen gebruiken.Een grondige poetsbeurt was welkom geweest.

Goed contact met de beheerder. We hadden gebeld dat we wat later aankwamen en daar heeft de beheerder goed rekening mee gehouden. Fijn comfortabel huis met lange tuin, achterin de tuin staat een bos aan bomen. Ruime eetkeuken en woonkamer met studiehoek. Twee slaapkamers met goede bedden. Keuken met eettafel en veel kastjes en apparatuur, geen vaatwasser. (Beetje onhandig dat de vriezer boven de koelkast is geplaatst en niet er onder.) Alles is gelijkvloers. De verwarming, TV, internet en andere voorzieningen werken prima. Vanuit het huis kan je mooie wandelingen maken in een groot bos, er is een spectaculair uitkijkpunt over de rivier op ongeveer 20 minuten loopafstand. Met de auto kom je bij diverse bezienswaardigheden in de Ardennen. We vonden de abdij van Orval interessant.
