When is the best time to go to Chief Garry Park?

The best time to go to Chief Garry Park in Washington is generally from late spring to early autumn, specifically from May to September, when the weather is most pleasant for outdoor activities. During these months, the park experiences warm and sunny weather, with average temperatures ranging from 18°C to 28°C. This period is ideal for enjoying the park's walking trails, sports facilities, and open green spaces without the chill or rain of other seasons. Families with children will find the summer months (June to August) particularly appealing. The school holidays mean more opportunities for kids to enjoy the park's playgrounds and open areas for games. Additionally, local community events, often held in the park, are more frequent during this time, providing extra entertainment. For couples seeking a more relaxed experience, late spring (May) and early autumn (September) offer a lovely balance. The weather is still very agreeable, but the park tends to be less crowded than in the peak summer months.

Top Chief Garry Park Hotel Reviews

Mirabeau Park Hotel & Convention Center

8/10 Good

"We have stayed here before and like the place. This time we got a room and checked in later. Once in the room we found the furnace or rather the air conditioning wasn't working. The room was at 77 degrees at one point. I went and asked and because the hotel was very full they didn't have a lot of options. We tried a fan but it did not work, the fan barely worked, so eventually they had the last woman from housekeeping clean another different room. We were able to change rooms but it was not what we asked for and we had to move our stuff after 10 pm at night. We will stay again but we were a bit disappointed and the next morning we went to breakfast and unlike last time we stayed, and ordered food, it was a buffet with not well cooked food. Just not as good of experience as the first time."
