  • Situated in the heart of the beautiful Derbyshire countryside, Rough Close Farm Cottage offers a peaceful and comfortable retreat just outside the charming village of Ashover. This two-bedroom cottage combines traditional character with modern comforts, making it an ideal getaway for couples, families, or friends looking to explore the Peak District.



    The ground floor features a fully equipped kitchen, featuring an AGA with everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals together, complete with a dining area for relaxed gatherings. The inviting living room includes a log burner and a TV, creating the perfect space to unwind after a day of exploring. Off from the living room, guests will find a football table for a bit of friendly competition and a telescope to take in the sweeping views across the Ashover countryside. A handy downstairs cloakroom adds extra convenience.



    Upstairs, the cottage offers two comfortable bedrooms, each thoughtfully furnished to ensure a restful night’s sleep. In the second bedroom there is a large super-king bed that can be made into two singles upon request at the time of booking. The modern bathroom includes a bath, shower, and W/C, providing a bright and refreshing space to start or end your day.

The cottage was home from home for us. It was fully equipped for our needs and we were able to relax and unwind in very comfortable surroundings. We loved the log fire and the bath was a real treat! We were able to take walks from the doorstep and enjoy the views and wildlife of the local area. We highly recommend this accommodation.
