Hotel chose for closeness to railway station was so close across the road.Bus stop facing every 15 minutes to centre of town and shops .All types of shops close to the river lovely walk and boat ride.Hotel excellent clean staff really pleasant helpful food both evening meal and breakfast absolutely gorgeous.Would definitely go back again Fanulous garden for sitting out in the good weather .

Great location right next to the station and an easy walk into the city centre. The ground floor has been nicely refurbished and makes a good first impression. Some investment has clearly gone into the rooms too (new taps etc.), but they don’t feel finished to the same standard. The bathroom in particular felt a little tired – the silicone around the shower was messy and old, the toilet didn’t flush easily, and the extractor fan was very loud. Overall a good stay in a great location, but the rooms could benefit from a bit more attention to detail.

A beautiful hotel, which has been refurbished to a very high standard. The rooms were very clean, soft fluffy dressing gowns were provided along with snacks and water. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The centre was just a short taxi ride away (or a 10 minute walk) we had our evening meal there which was delicious. The only downfall was breakfast sadly which wasn't very warm and had been standing a while. We would definitely stay again.
