Luxurious Mountain Retreat for the Discerning Traveler
The beauty and serenity of the western North Carolina Mountains never fails to fill visitors with joy and peace. We purchased our own three acres of heaven and built a luxurious Guest House so we can share the mountain experience with you.
The Guest House sleeps 4 with two queen beds. The house has been designed for maximum relaxation and pampering. Situated on the bold creek that runs through the property, every room opens onto a 46’ covered deck that overlooks the creek. You can open large sliding glass doors to let the relaxing sound of the creek fill the house or wander out onto the deck to enjoy the fresh mountain air and sunshine.
Careful consideration went into every aspect of our Guest House accommodations. There are two comfortable master bedroom suites with inviting private baths. Relax in the central great-room in front of an evening fire. The gourmet kitchen with cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops is a weekend chef’s delight!
We have furnished and outfitted the Guest House to please even the most discerning traveler. You will enjoy comfortable queen beds with smooth linens and full pillows. Large ensuite baths with soft towels and complimentary soaps and shampoos. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a romantic dinner, hearty breakfast or picnic lunch to take on a hike. The living room has comfortable seating in front of a wood-burning fireplace and large, Smart TV. Out on the deck, there are relaxing rockers where you can put your feet up and enjoy a good book. For summer nights, there is a great fire pit situated in a bend of the creek.
While The Guest House offers a peaceful and private retreat, it is close to everything that makes western North Carolina so appealing as a vacation getaway. Outdoor adventures abound. Take an invigorating hike or rafting trip, a leisurely walk around Lake Junaluska or experience zip-lining through the scenic forest. Enjoy casual or upscale dining and delightful shopping in charming downtown Waynesville, just five minutes away. Drive 30 minutes to Asheville for more dining and shopping opportunities or to visit the always incredible Biltmore Estate.
The house is easily accessible and available year-round. We invite you to relax and re-energize at our North Carolina Guest House. We’re sure you will fall in love with the magic of these glorious mountains!

Had a relaxing time listening to the stream from the deck and living room , plenty of parking for motorcycle trailer , enjoyed riding on the blue ridge parkway and all other roads in the area
Location close to restaurants and all other essentials
Excellent and relaxed, I loved the way the owners welcomed us with a card, wine and a Christmas tree. The place is very quiet. To spend it as a family with my dog.
Wonderful visit to the North Carolina Mountains
The cabin was clean & tidy and cozily furnished.
My girlfriend, doggy & I all enjoyed every moment on the property.
The highlight was definitely having breakfast & dinners on the back porch area with the babbling creek just maybe 20 or so feet away
My mother and I thought that this was perfect. Mom wished that we could transport the house and surroundings to every destination we traveled to. It was the perfect size for us. The house was close to everything. The home came with high standard items. Going to sleep and waking up next to a stream I cannot find enough words to describe the serene setting. Peg was very accommodating from the check-in to any questions we had along the way. We would most definitely stay here again
What a perfect mountain getaway house. Adorable clean, comfortable, home decor. Every detail thought of and provided. The best was back porch on a stream. Nature beautiful. Personal welcome package was appreciated. Will definitely be back.
Our 4 night stay was perfect. The house was very clean, very cozy, and very nicely decorated. The stream that runs along behind the house is beautiful. This will be our spot for future visits to the mountains.
A beautiful view of a stream with a peaceful flowing water. Nice big porch to rest and enjoy the beauty. Perfect place to reset and forget the cares of the world. I would recommend this location to everyone!
We loved everything! If we could change anything, it would be a little closer to entertainment. It rained almost every day so the outdoor “fun” was very limited (not anyone’s fault)! The cabin was clean, neat, and tidy. It was also peaceful! A great place to rejuvenate, gather, rest, eat, etc!! Would definitely recommend!!
My wife and I spent a wonderful Valentine’s weekend at the Guest House. Peg was an amazingly responsive host before, during and after our visit! The house is beautiful, well decorated, and equipped with all one could need for their trip. The real show stopper is the natural beauty of the environment! Although I had seen the pictures online we were in awe of the sight and sound of the amazing creek. We are already planning a return visit this summer!
The description of the rental was on point. Loved it. No smells and was like new. The mountain stream was nice even though it was too cold outside to enjoy sitting on the porch. Hope to visit again.
This property had everything we wanted/needed for our mini retreat before the craziness and demands begin with the upcoming holidays.
From our Downtown adventure to Day Trip
to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge, we couldn’t have asked for a better location & properly - listening to the running brook added to our serenity. Looking forward to many more trips in the future.
Stayed at many VRBO properties around the world. This is one of the most peaceful and relaxing of them all! The property is very clean, well equipped with EVERYTHING you need to relax and enjoy the creek and property. Perfectly located to hiking, shopping, exploring and just plain relaxing. Peg, the property manager is awesome and has great communication with us. Too many good things to say in one paragraph. I WILL visit this property again. You will not be disappointed at all with this HIDDEN TREASURE in the Mountains.
Very nice relaxing cabin that is centrally located. The creek and back porch was amazing! The beds were soft (a little too soft for me, but comfortable). There is one bathroom that doesn’t have a renovated shower/tub. That’s the only thing I didn’t realize with online booking, but other bathroom has a nice shower. Thanks
Could not have ask for a nicer place to vacation nor a nicer property manager! Peg and her husband were the best! This place was so comfortable in every way. The large porch had a secure railing around making it nice for you and your pets to be able to enjoy the outside. Step outback to a fairly private backyard with a beautiful babbling creek! The sound was so restful, making for a totally relaxing and romantic evening! Lots to see and do, great places to eat! All within a very short driving distance. Can’t go wrong with this unit!
The Guest House accommodations were perfect. Beautifully decorated, upscale, very cozy, and the cleanliness was off the charts. Forget the salt, pepper, coffee and filters… your hosts have everything covered, and so much more ! We enjoyed our stay and the hosts, Peg and Bruce, were easy to reach, friendly, and very helpful.
This is a grand location close to Maggie Valley and Cherokee with a babbling creek right outside your back door. It was magical ! We stayed 7 nights and have already booked our return. Note to Hosts: The huge shower was gorgeous, but I wanted to thank you for keeping the DEEP bathtub/shower combination in the second full bathroom. It made for a heavenly “super soak”. The entire week was luxurious indeed !
Everything lived up to the description. Kitchen very well stocked with pans, cutlery and dishes. I appreciated some options for storage since those are often lacking in rental properties. I also appreciated the shampoo etc in the bathrooms. The best part is the deck and creek. I really appreciated that the porch is gated at both ends so I didn’t have to worry about my dog running off. That gave him some freedom and me peace of mind. Everything worked fine but I would recommend adding instructions to the welcome book for the dishwasher as it took me a bit to figure it out.
We loved our stay in this cabin and would definitely go back again. The home is very well appointed, kitchen had everything needed for lovely meal preparation, bed was comfortable and the porch overlooking the creek was absolutely delightful to sit and relax. The owners provided paper products, spices, laundry supplies and were responsive when we had a question or two. They even left a lovely bottle of wine and hand written note welcoming us. It truly was a place to unwind and relax especially enjoying the fire pit by the creek (a night of s’mores!) and a fire in the fireplace in the evening. Getting to the cabin was very easy and the road is right off the main road through Waynesville. You feel remote and secluded at the cabin, yet are just 10 min from shopping and restaurants in Waynesville, 30 min to Asheville and 15 min to Maggie Valley. It was very peaceful and with the window open, we could listen to the babbling waters of the creek while falling asleep (no need to pack a sound machine!). Highly recommend this cabin for a relaxing time away and ability to shop and eat out as desired. Thank you Peg and Bruce for a lovely vacation!
We did a short 2-night visit to see the Biltmore during Christmas. Really wished I booked their place for a few more nights. First and most importantly we would like to thank Ms. Peg for the ability to bring our puppies with us, they are family and mean everything to us. To rent such a wonderful place which is pet friendly was amazing.
Everything from the furnishings to the property was whimsical and amazing. I have rented places in the NC mountains high up with great views; however, this place was amazing, and I preferred much more due to the location and ease of access compared to steep incline, goose bump driveways.
I will be returning to rent this place several times as long as they hopefully have it listed to do so. Almost not wanting to leave such a great review out of jealously someone may have this place other than me! We look extremely forward to returning and exploring more of Waynesville and the Ashville area, to include Cherokee which I heard is not too far from this wonderful place.
Thank you again Ms. Peg we will be seeing you very soon again. This place deserves 10 stars not 5.
We had a very nice holiday staying at the “Guest House” for Christmas. When we booked the cabin, we were excited and expecting a white Christmas, unfortunately that was not the case. However, we had three very nice days which allowed for two amazing trips to play golf at Springdale golf course and The Grove Park Inn golf course. A trip to the dog park in Waynesville (area seemed a bit iffy), and a wonderful day of walking around downtown Asheville. Tried Mountain Madre for a late lunch and it was excellent. Other days, rain or shine, were spent playing games, watching movies and watching the creek that runs directly behind the home. So beautiful to see and listen to. If you’re a light sleeper, you need not worry, you can’t hear the creek unless the door is open. Cell service is pretty much nonexistent in the valley of a mountain, but the owners have a WiFi booster, so you can switch to WiFi calling. Be sure to download or printout the details of your stay as you will not be able to look up the details without service. Had to drive a few miles away to get the code to enter the home. After that, everything was perfect. The host left a card addressed to us with a little welcome gift. So charming. The house was decorated for the holidays and every room had little bowls of chocolates for us to enjoy. We brought a ton of food stuffs as we planned on staying in a lot, the home is FULLY equipped with practically everything and anything that we needed.
