There was time taken and attention to detail in the room, as well as the outside of the Inn, being decorated for Christmas. The room was clean and very accommodating. The Inn was in walking distance to dining, shops, and the train depot. What a great experience. I planned a getaway for my parents 21st anniversary mom's birthday which featured this as their stay. They had a wonderful time! Ed, the innkeeper, collaborated with me in setting this up. He even purchased them locally baked pastries as a "birthday/anniversary" local fare gift. We wish our trip was for a couple so we could have enjoyed more of Bryson City and the Calhoun’s hotel. So very quaint! Lovely big porch with rocking chairs. The morning we checked out it was raining. The room is exactly how the pictures are. It was nice cozy felt like home. Bed is very comfortable. Shower was great. Mr. Ed was a great host. He greeted us and showed us to the room and made sure we got in ok. They had snacks on the table drinks and other goodies in the fridge. They also gave us chocolate for our 26th Anniversary, so sweet and nice.
