I've since returned three more times. Although the staff don't speak a lot of English, they are always friendly. The rooms are good, clean and modern, with good Wi-Fi. The hotel has a little coffee shop, and an onsite self-service laundry, which I haven't found too often in China. Location is very good too, very handy for the airport, a taxi is between 40 and 50 RMB. I had a number of issues with this hotel. Firstly, they denied they had received my booking and then I had to call Australia at my expensive to sort it out (it was the hotels fault not Hotels.com fault in the end). I was then given a room with a smoke smell, an ashtray and a sign that said "no smoking in bed". When I asked to change rooms they did offer me another room but the door would not open, so I used the first room! Inside my room the bed was uncomfortably hard, even by Chinese standards. The room also had a fake climate control / room temperature adjustment that didn't actually change the temperature at all. Only saving grace was that the front staff were very polite.
