A/C more of a fan so we couldn’t get it as cold as we would have liked for sleeping. Buffet breakfast was very good but food and drink in general was very expensive. You have to eat in their restaurants as there is nothing else around the hotel so you have to pay their prices. Food was good, especially the Chinese food. Outdoor pool closed and we weren’t told In advance. Indoor pool good. Main problem for us is that hotel is really far out of Chengdu, actually in the middle of nowhere. It’s close to the panda’s and they do provide a few free shuttle bus services. If you want to go out in the city at night you’ll need to get a taxi for half an hour which is about ¥100\. There was happy hour at the bar but they don’t tell anyone this! We were told by another guest so then took advantage of the offers. Overall, a great hotel. The staff was very helpful and friendly. If I only want to go to Chengdu to see the Pandas, i would stay here again since they are so close. However, if I also want to see the city, I wouldn’t as the hotel is so far from the city center and there is very limited public transportation. The breakfast had plenty of options, both Western and Chinese. The hotel is surrounded by a large residential area so there were a few small grocery stores and restaurants. There was a local market fairly close with fresh fruit and some street food.
