Decor was strangely eclectic with cityscape posters (NYC, London, Paris, etc) and one monster movie poster combined with African elephant figurines and an American Southwest dish garden! "The hotel itself is nice, historic, clean. Rooms seem to be sound proof. There is a stand where you can make tea or coffee or hot chocolate which is a bonus. There is lovely Armenian food restaurant in the building. The breakfast is at nearby restaurant but only for two even if there were four of us booked in. The only thing is the area. Downtown of Spokane is infested with homeless and drug users. More outside parts of Spokane seem better but generally it looked like homeless invaded city, there were more of them than any other people. Looked like zombie city on Friday evening. But this is only my impression. I was wondering why the hotel owners don’t oppose it with city council and do anything about it but maybe they are just without success."
