We enjoyed coffee in the enclosed porch overlooking the lake every morning and each of us had our own bedroom with very comfortable beds. We visited the Dragonfly Winery nearby and it was so beautiful and a lot of fun. We visited the sculpture gardens near Taylor Falls and shops there also. This was a nice cabin with LOTS of room. The decks and screened in porch are beautiful. There are so many games, books and movies available which was awesome! The record player and vinyl were a fun treat. The location is nice and really close to Balsam Lake. We went to the brewery and the Balsam Lake Cafe which were both really good! The description of the steep driveway is accurate, it's no joke! The host was awesome - she sent messages checking in on us to see if we needed anything. There are a few warnings (not bad things by any means) that I would give others looking to rent this cabin: - The fire pit is right next to the neighbor. - The stairway to get to the lower level is pretty steep and narrow. If you have bad knees or stairs are hard for you I would think twice about this cabin. There are two large bedrooms upstairs and a bathroom, so it is possible to not have to use the stairs. There are three bedrooms and a second bathroom (with the only shower) downstairs. - If you are expecting outdoor space to play yard games this isn't the place for you. The property was perfect for our stay. Just know there is no heat in the basement (3) bedrooms, but there are ample space heaters and we were okay with colder rooms. ##### Ashley L.
