It's situated approx 7 mins away from town in one direction, so you can leave the car on the drive, (a major plus) and 10 mins walk away from the woods in the other: ideal for an early morning, or any time dog walk! Other than that, it was completely fine 😆"

Very busy hotel as it has a fitness gym on site for locals to use. Food and beer a little pricey but was a modern and comfortable place to eat. Breakfast was excellent. Would stay again"

"The Hotel is set within the sprawling grounds which includes a wonderfully maintained golf course despite the current heatwave conditions. I was warmly greeted when checking in and got a lot of steps in getting to my room but was rewarded with a room with a view of the course and everything I needed to enjoy my stay. I used the onsite gym which had new equipment in great working condition which provided a good sweat and pump. I decided to dine elsewhere with Reading being only a few miles away. The bed was extremely comfortable and provided a well-needed night's rest with breakfast options being varied allowing for a great start to the day. The staff were very helpful and the hotel was impeccable."

May just be that the soft furnishings needed replacing. The room was dated and needed an upgrade. It would have been good to have a safe in the room too. Everything else about the hotel was wonderful and it was a shame it was only a fleeting visit. Slightly overpriced considering the room itself."

Breakfast was average but great view from the window of the river."
