Originally a gothic Royal castle built in 13th century during reign of king Premysl Otakar II, rebuilt in rennaisance and baroque style until getting its current Neogothic appearance from 1841-71 after Windsor castle example. The Neogothic Chateau belonged to Counts of Schwarzenberg until 1947 when it was confiscated and nationalized. There is a nice big surrounding English park. (36 reviews) Lovely big apartment. Great area. Easy walking to most places. Also plenty of trams. Needed earplugs as busy road outside. Check in wasn't good. Was sent no information. Had to phone to find out where to pick up keys. A place that closed soon after I got there. Would have been good to have been sent that information first, especially as the place to pick them up closes at 11pm. Apart from that the place was great and would stay there again.
