Modernised one bedroom house in the heart of the Touraine countryside

The one bedroom accommodation forms part of a recently modernised longere. It retains many of the original features such as the tiled floors but are fully modernised and equipped .
Surrounded by farm land, it is an ideal location for exploring the Chateaux and vineyards of the Loire, the natural beauty of the Brenne area or simply enjoying the many local walking trails through fields and woodland. The local markets, including Loches (Wednesday and Saturday) and Amboise (Friday and Sunday), provide the opportunity to sample the local specialities and there are many excellent restaurants in easy reach.
The lounge/dining room provides a comfortable place to relax whatever the season. For the winter months there is a wood burning stove and the property is centrally heated. There is Smart TV giving you access to your preferred streaming service as well as French TV channels as well as a DVD player (DVDs available). A selection of games and jigsaws are also available. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric hob, a combination microwave/grill/oven, fridge and tea and coffee making equipment. There is access to a washing machine in an adjoining area.
One the first floor, the large bedroom contains a king size bed and a single bed. The bathroom has a shower and toilet.
Outside there is parking and a private garden with table and chairs and a BBQ.
The garden is secure and well-behaved pets are welcome. We have dogs ourselves and our neighbours in the hamlet have cats and chickens so we ask that your pets are kept under control at all times.
We live near the property and are available for any questions you may have during your stay.

Nice cosy accommodation

Janet and Chris were very welcoming and the property was clean, nice decor and well furnished, an ideal size for a couple or even with a child. It was a great base to explore a part of France that we were unfamiliar with and our dog was well catered for with nice walks in the area and also from the cottage.

Longer stay in Charnizay

Everything went so well and my stay was wonderful. The cottage is lovely and cozy and the garden is so great with dogs. Loved the area and all trails. Thank you for everything !

Un endroit très reposant

Nous avons très bien été accueilli par les propriétaires, ils sont vraiment charmants. La maison est aménagé avec goût, elle est fraiche l'été. Il y a également un jardin pour y faire un barbecue, il est également bien clôturé. Nous avons pu y laisser nos chien pour faire des visites touristiques sans problème. En cas de chaleur, une baignade est à 30 min de voiture dans le cours d'eau de la Creuse, parfait pour se rafraichir, ainsi que promenade dans un cadre verdoyant. Un endroit idéal pour faire une vraie coupure au vert et du tourisme culturel ! Merci encore pour cet accueil !

Au calme près des châteaux de la Loire

Mr et Mme Springall sont des hôtes très accueillants. Le gîte est agréable, assez proche des châteaux de la Loire, très calme. Le grand jardin et la cheminée constituent des atouts indéniables !

très bon séjour

C'était notre deuxième séjour et nous sommes toujours aussi content. Les propriétaires sont vraiment des gens adorables et au petit soin pour nous. la propriété est au calme le séjour que l'on souhaitait cocooning et paisible a vraiment était au top. On a adoré impatient de notre prochain séjour

Petit Gîte très bien aménagé on se sent comme dans un cocon , les propriétaires sont des gens adorables qui nous ont très bien accueillis. Ils sont à la fois discrets et d'une grande disponibilité. La propriété est située dans un endroit très calme en pleine nature. On ne manque de rien, tout est fait pour que l'on se sente bien. Nous avons hâte de pouvoir revenir pour continuer à profiter de cette belle région. Merci infiniment à Janet et son mari de leur gentillesse pendant ces quelques jours.
