Close to UVA but need to Uber or walk quite a distance. Many restaurants near hotel. Old English style hotel. Clean and comfortable but could use some renovation/upkeep.

The English Inn was a pleasant place to stay. The room was spacious and comfortable. The room was clean and the heating/cooling was good. The location was very convenient, many restaurants within walking distance. Only 5-10 minutes from University of Virginia.

As the name suggests, The English Inn has character and a bit of charm at a competitive price. Breakfast is always solid. We only wish they would serve it on china rather than disposables which would better suit the Inn's style.

Great place to stay. Very clean and staff is courteous. I needed to down grade from a family suite to a junior suite and it was so much quicker and easier than I thought it would have been it was no hassle at all. I will definitely stay here again and again.

This property is outstanding! A bit of a hiccup getting to it across three lanes of traffic to make a left turn, a u turn and all was good. The check in was fast and smooth even a little ahead of the 4;00 check in. The desk clerk was very informative and polite and helpful with our few questions. His recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing attractions was spot on! A three floor hotel we were on the second. It had an elevator. A nice large lobby with tea and coffee and fresh fruit always available. The room was bright and faced the highway but we were not bothered by any road noise. The room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel, the king bed very comfortable. The bathroom was great , the sink area a little small but no big deal. The shower was a walk in with sliding glass door that did not leak all over the floor. The water was pretty much hot instantly . We were there for two nights and the towel were changed without asking, thank you for that! The breakfast was second to none! There was a generous supply of hot and cold cereal, fruit, eggs , potatoes, turkey sausages, waffles, biscuits, bagels , great coffee, preserves, pints of chocolate milk. I could go on and on. This hotel is very reasonably priced for such a great experience. I give it a 11 out of 10. Thankyou so much for a wonderful two nights in Charlottesville
