Its a beautiful small private island with several old homes on it, and a wonderful trail that circles around the island and passes through an old cedar forest. We stayed in the small cottage called Oaks, which is located beneaht a giant old oak. It's called the 'honeymoon cottage' but my husband and I were glad we weren't honeymooners as the tiny bedroom had two single beds. There is a futon in the main room, but one would have to move the kitchen table to make room for the futon. The cabin is very basic, but we enjoyed our stay because the setting is so lovely. Our cottage was beautifully rustic and super-comfortable and well-appointed. We had a deck with a bay/island/harbor view, steps from the beach and boat dock. The owners are on the grounds, and are super-friendly and accommodating. The staff cheerfully provide everything you need, including boat rides back and forth to the mainland. (Very little of no wait time!) There's a gorgeous scenic trail around the island. The grounds are very beautiful and perfect for relaxing or exploring.
