This full second‑floor apartment (approximately 1,300 sq ft) blends classic architectural charm — high ceilings, tall windows, and period details — with thoughtful modern upgrades. Every corner has been refreshed with new flooring, cabinets, fixtures and stainless Kenmore appliances to provide a comfortable, stylish stay for families, business travelers, or anyone seeking a peaceful base near Lake Norman and Davidson College. I definitely will be booking again if I’m in this area. Everything was clean and comforting. The host responded to me quickly any time I had a question. A lot of living essentials are provided which was an added bonus. There are lots of updated amenities which gives it a modern feel. If all you are looking for is a quiet place to stay for the night, this is great. There are good aspects to this house. It’s not far from the city center, quiet neighborhood, and has new appliances including laundry which was very useful. Our issues were the overall wear and tear - smudges and missing paint. The sink in the bathroom is beautiful but the faucet was loose and felt like it was going to fall off. There were no towels until we found them in the dryer. There were bugs all over the window sill in the bathroom, and the coffee maker looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while. I hate giving reviews like this, but if this apartment was given a bit more care, it would be a great place to stay. We arrived at night and there was not good outside lighting which made finding the house and the door a little tricky. The neighborhood seemed a bit strange as well, not exactly a residential neighborhood. But once upstairs, the space was inviting, the kitchen was well stocked, and the beds were comfortable. There were 3 beds and at least 2 additional fold away beds but only one small bathroom. Also, there is no designated living area. The only TV is in a bedroom.
