Another great stay!

This is our second trip to Charleston and this property in particular. The location is perfect; everything worth seeing on the peninsula is in walking distance. The hosts are friendly and the house itself is amazing. Already planning our third trip.

Three couples enjoyed a fabulous week in Charleston. Location is great -- enjoyable walking distance to all the sites and restaurants. We also enjoyed being at home together, especially the fantastic porches and southern spring weather.

Very much enjoyed our 4-night stay. Lovely home and very well appointed. Most comfortable in all respects for our family of 7. We walked to dine and shop on King Street and Downtown areas.

Beautiful home, excellent location

We decided to celebrate my wife’s birthday in Charleston with friends and were fortunate to find this amazing home in a location convenient to key sites and activities. The porches overlooking the beautiful gardens made a great place to spend an evening with our friends. We would highly recommend this property as a way to experience historic Charleston.

Perfect Charleston Experience

Well-maintained home on the Battery; the home was exceptionally well-appointed and equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. If you can tear yourself away from the porch overlooking the lush garden, it is easy walking distance to historic Charleston.

Beautiful historic home

Lovely home. Very comfortable beds. Two bedrooms are considerably nicer than the other two on the third floor …but if you have flexible people staying with you it doesn’t matter. Plumbing was a little wonky. Need to be patient with the hot water. But it’s a beautiful location and home.

The perfect historic experience

This home is a gem! This neighborhood is our favorite area of the French quarter. This home has so much character and we thoroughly enjoyed reading about its history in the book the owners provide. Everything about this rental was perfect. Jamie was a treat to deal with when we needed anything. She even had a pack n play for our 9 month old baby! Thanks for the wonderful vacation!

Lovely Charleston home

This home is as beautiful as the pictures. It was so much fun for our group of six adults to stay there to celebrate two birthdays--it gave a much more "local" feel to our stay in Charleston. Our favorite part of the trip was returning to the porch in the afternoons to drink wine and talk. The neighborhood is lovely, safe and quiet. The house is spotlessly clean and the beds are very comfortable. Just an FYI--there are plenty of stairs to navigate! I would definitely recommend this house to those travelers that want an historic Charleston feel for their trip.

Just Beautiful

Our family gathered in Charleston in celebration of our 50th Anniversary, 2 families from PA and one from TX. We could not have found a more suitable home to stay in for this get together. We had family photos taken at White Point Park, less that 2 blocks from the house. We then started to explore the city of Charleston both as a group and individually. What an amazing adventure, a wonderful city. Most found everything within walking distance from the house. Thank You for the opportunity to stay in your home. We will always treasure the time we had to be together here.

Our stay in a Historic Charleston Home checked off my bucket list

A most wonderful place full of history. We gathered our family from 4 states to enjoy a once in a life time Christmas celebration. The Battery Street home was everything we hoped for. Close to all that is desirable in Charleston from shopping, entertainment, history and fantastic dining. We hosted a Christmas dinner for 22 members of family and friends. 5 Star home and 5 Star hosts. We could not be happier in our choice of lodgings to share with our close friends and family. Thank you to the Bennet family for opening their spectacular home to us to make our stay warm and full of happiness. We look forward to returning in 2022. If you love history you will love this homes documented past.

Graduation stay 2022

This was a fantastic property with an awesome location. The only surprise was that the owners live in the first floor rooms. They were lovely people but we were unaware there were others that lived in the house before we arrived. So people walking in the back yard was a little disconcerting. This was the perfect property for our stay and would highly recommend staying here. The property manager was very quick to respond to our questions while we were there (over the weekend even). Pros: Beautiful historic home in great condition, well kept, great location, easy to walk to restaurants, shopping, and bay. Cons: Parking (no surprise in the historic area and they did provide permits for restricted parking days. Thanks!). It would be helpful to have a battery powered cart to get further afield but I'm not sure where you would park such a beast.
