AMAZING!

Beautiful location in the countryside - peaceful and relaxing. Stephanie and her family have done a fantastic job rebuilding an historic property (with work continuing to further expand). The photo's are spot on, the rooms are well apportioned, the common areas are massive, and the back garden is superb! We had 13 in our group and never felt crowded (our section section had accommodations for 19). Everyone of us - including the teens and under-25's - thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Central to the Champagne region, close to Reims (under 1 hour) and just over 2 hours to Paris and Brussels, the location is perfect for exploring. Stephanie is accommodating and quick to respond to email and texts; her English is excellent, so we had no difficulty communicating. Keep in mind, this is a traditional 16th century castle: lots of stairs, no central air, creaky floors, etc. But it is absolutely charming, every room has an en suite, WiFi is good, outdoor living is perfect. All of us have already talked about a return trip - we can't wait to see the progress they make on the remaining sections of the castle!

Prachtig en prettig kasteel

We hebben een hele leuke vakantie gehad in Het kasteel in Charbogne. De kinderen hebben genoten van het zwembad en een aantal volwassen van de sauna. De slaapkamers zijn prettig en super fijn dat ze allemaal een eigen badkamer hebben. Wel zijn de bedden voor ons lange Nederlanders wat aan de kleine kant. De omgeving vraagt wel echt om autoritjes want vanuit het kasteel is de natuur een beetje saai. Het was een fijne oud en nieuw vakantie.

Die Vermieterin hat direkt vor Ort ein Büro, sodass sie fast immer erreichbar ist. Wenn es Probleme gab, wurden die sofort gelöst.

Een fijne locatie om met een hele familie of groep vrienden bij elkaar te zijn. Ruimte genoeg om je even terug te trekken. Keuken is prima voorzien vaan apparatuur om voor een groep alles klaar te maken. Het zwembad is heerlijk met daarnaast (wel boven) een prima sauna. De trap om in het bad te komen had te hoge treden voor mensen die slecht ter been zijn er was geen leuning. De kamer voor mindervaliden is geschikt voor ouderen, de begane grond is volledig te bereiken. In de omgeving waren nog niet erg veel activiteiten ivm corona. Wandelen en fietsen kan natuurlijk altijd. De week was helaas zo om dus wie weet.

Perfect holidays!

We spent 10 days in Charbogne and we enjoyed every moment of it! Stephanie was there when we arrived and gave us a tour of the house. She was super friendly and responded to every request we had during our stay. I never had a house so clean and well cared for. We even had a little welcome present on the table when we came. Our kids liked the pool the best and the adults enjoyed the evenings in the sauna. I would choose this house again anytime! Thank you for the great vacation!

The property is outstanding,suited the size of our group, 15 in all, which included a wheelchair user. Ground floor access inside and outside was suitable. Une semaine dans les Ardennes Françaises

Nous avons passé une semaine en famille merveilleuse dans ce magnifique endroit restauré avec soin. Les chambres et les commodités ont été réalisées avec beaucoup de gout et de bon sens. Malgré nos appréhension, nous avons trouvé la piscine intérieure correcte. La terrasse extérieure serait plus agréables si elle était horizontale avec un revêtement en dur. Hormis cela, rien à redire. Remarque importante, le château comprenant 2 grands gîtes, un minimum de savoir vivre et de respect de l'autre doivent être mis en oeuvre afin de respecter la quiétude des 2 parties. Cela n'a pas été forcément la cas avec les 2 groupes qui se sont succédés pendant notre séjour.

Excellent séjour avec toute la famille ! Beau site, chambres agréables, fonctionnel et spacieux.

Nous avons adoré le château. Très bien équipé, fonctionnel, agréable, spacieux, propre. Le séjour est typique, la terrasse bien exposée. Les propriétaires sont très sympathiques et flexibles. Chaque chambre a sa salle de bain et son toilette, les invités sont tous à leur aise. La piscine et le sauna sont un vrai plus. Nous avons adoré !

Wij waren in de periode 24-28 april 2017 in het kasteel. een groep van 20 mensen (10 volwassenen en 10 kinderen). de gastvrouw was heel flexibel en heel vriendelijk. alle apparatuur was prima.Het verblijf was boven verwachting schoon. Elke dag sms'ten we onze bestelling voor de bakker door aan onze gastvrouw en onze bestelling werd elke dag rond 9:00am door de bakker bezorgd. zwembad en sauna waren ook goed. In de omgeving zijn er leuke en betaalbare klimparken. we zijn ook een dagje gaan shoppen in de stad REIMS.

American family had a great weekend in the country

My American relatives came to France for my wedding and 14 of them stayed at Chateau de Charbogne for the weekend. Stéphanie and her family were extremely welcoming, despite the language barrier! Chateau de Charbogne is one of the few places in the area that is wheelchair accessible, which is one reason we picked it. The entire ground floor is wheelchair accessible. But the rest of the property is also beautiful and very well maintained. The grounds around the castle are really charming! I definitely recommend for a relaxing weekend in the French countryside!

Super bon accueil pour une famille américaine !

Ma famille (14 personnes) a passé un super weekend au château de Charbogne en juillet dernier. Les chambres, la piscine et la cuisine étaient propres et belles. De plus, la propriété a beaucoup de charme. Malgré la barrière de langue ma famille s'est senti complètement à l'aise. Merci Stéphanie !

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable au château de Charbogne. Vu le beau temps que nous avons eu la chance d'avoir, nous avons bien profité de la terrasse avec sa belle vue, sa très grande table et ses parasols. Nos enfants ont été ravis de profiter de la piscine.Nous avons fait quelques sympathiques balades et d'intéressantes excursions à Reims et Charleville-Mézière, très faciles d'accès. Accueil attentionné de la part du propriétaire. Propreté impeccable.

week-end idéal entre amis avec des enfants

Nous avons séjourné 1 week-end entre amis au gîte du pont, soit 19 adultes et 7 enfants. La configuration des pièces est idéale pour les enfants puisque que la cuisine équipée (2 frigos et 2 lavé vaisselle) et la grande pièce à vivre sont au rez de chaussé, et au meme niveau que l exterieur. La piscine intérieure et chauffée est aussi au rez de chaussé, et elle est totalement sécurisée par une porte coulissante vitrée qui ferme.les 13 chambres avec leur salle de bain moderne sont grandes et la literie est confortable. Il y a un baby foot et une télé sur laquelle nous avons pu brancher une console. Nous n avons pas pu profiter de l extérieur à cause du mauvais temps. Seul bémol pour certains, les lits en taille 140. C est un gîte idéal pour un weekend entre amis

J'ai organisé l’anniversaire des 40 ans de mon mari avec 15 de ses amis. Très beau gîte qui permet la convivialité grâce à sa grande pièce de vie tout en maintenant l'intimité de chaque convive car chaque chambre possède ses propres toilettes et salle de bains. Je n'ai malheureusement pas testé la piscine, mais nos amis ont beaucoup apprécié. La propriétaire sympathique m'a également conseillé un traiteur très bien. Bref je recommande vivement!

Highly recommended. The Chateau exceeded my expectations. We had a group of 19 adults and 5 children. There was plenty of space for all. The bedrooms were comfortable and allowed privacy whilst the shared areas were great for getting together. Stephanie was very helpfull in organising a marquet and recommending a restaurant that could cater a celebration dinner on one of the evenings of our stay.

Ce gite est magnifique pour passer des vacances en famille. Nous y avons celebré un anniversaire et c'était l'idéal car la pièce à vivre est très agreable et spacieuse. Les chambres sont toutes très bien agencées et sa salle de bain privative est très appréciée. Que du Bonheur d'avoir SA piscine. Très bonne description du lieu. Location très propre et bien entretenue. Propriétaires très sympathiques qui vous mettent très à l'aise dès le premier contact. Je recommence vivement ce gite.

chambres et salles de bain pour 20 personnes agréables et spacieuses . endroit historique et de caractère. propre dans l ensemble . petit bémol la pièce pour la piscine est un peu étroite donc étouffante et manque de couverts au niveau cuisine. l endroit était idéal pour notre evj et nous le recommanderons volontiers.
