The Pereira House, started in the 17th century, is one of the best preserved homes of the Indo-Portuguese aristocracy that owned plantations, controlled trade, and governed Goa during its long colonial rule by Portugal. India captured Goa in 1961 in a quick invasion after India grew impatient with their lengthy negotiations with Portugal over Goa's status.

I would give this hotel a 5 star wedding if it weren't for the three weddings that were happening outside my Seaview room. Ask before you book if there is a wedding. the breakfast , staff and rooms were lovely.
