As a lone ,older, female traveler I must say that the staff could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and considering that I spoke very little French. They could not have been more helpful.
The room was spacious, very clean , comfortable and extremely quiet. The breakfast facilities were adequate and there was plenty of variety. Again the staff were very attentive and friendly. I can recommend Hotel Vatel and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and we love everything about it- the friendly and knowledgeable staff, the cleanliness of contemporary rooms, beautiful breakfast, super location, relaxed and cosy atmosphere in the veranda with free herbal tea and apples by the fireplace), thank you very much. Staff was very courteous. Hotel is very clean and comfortable although the room is quite small.
The main issue has to do with finding the boutique hotel in a small street and parking, even temporarily, to unload your car. The hotel parking is an extra charge but, it is quite a walk from the hotel.
If I had travelled without a car, I probably would not have been inconvenienced as much.
But, as I said the room was very clean and staff very helpful.
