The huge, sunny terrace with spectacular Mont Blanc views is a unique feature for such a central apartment and makes an excellent space to relax or enjoy an al fresco meal. Inside, the comfy lounge with fireplace and large dining table make Apartment President a great social space. The perfect apartment for groups looking to enjoy each other's company with a convenient central location. Apartment Details Apartment President is on the first floor of a newly decorated residence. There is an open plan kitchen/living/dining area with a large dining table and comfy sofas. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge-freezer, oven, stove, microwave and dishwasher. Opening from the living area is a huge terrace which extends around the apartment. Bedroom’s 1 and 2 are twin rooms and bedroom 3 is a twin with bunk beds. Both bedrooms 4 and 5 are triple rooms with 3 single beds each. All bedrooms have an ensuite shower with basin and WC, there is also one separate toilet. There are two parking spaces, one external parking space and one small underground garage space (the interior space is only suitable for a small vehicle and available on request). The apartment also benefits from a large ski/kit storage area. Apartment Location Apartment President benefits from an excellent location in the centre of Chamonix. Just a minute's walk from the pedestrianised high street and also just a minute’s walk to the Savoy nursery ski slope. From here you can access the Brevent ski area via a drag lift to the main Brevent lift. A bus stop a couple of minutes walk from the apartment gives easy access to the rest of the Chamonix Valley for those wanting to explore the other villages or ski areas. On your doorstep are also numerous excellent cafes, bars and restaurants and the largest supermarket in Chamonix is under 5 minutes walk. Apartment President makes an excellent base for large families or groups of friends who would like the fantastic convenience of a central Chamonix location. What’s Included Self-catered bookings include linen/towels for 12 guests, end of stay cleaning and local taxe de séjour (tourist tax). This allows you to benefit from the Carte d’Hotes giving you free travel on the trains and reductions on entry to the museums and other attractions. Standard check-in is between 4-8pm and check-out is by 10am. Here is my breakdown: Location 4/5: located within a few steps to Brevent/Flegere ski area and also very close to all the local shops, restaurants, and cafes. It’s also just one block from the bus station which takes you to Le Tour and Grand Montets ski area. The downside is that it’s right next door to the Folie Deuce apres ski bar. The bar is very loud, and you can hear everything through the walls. Don’t plan on going to bed before midnight.Accommodations 4/5: all ten members of the family complained about how hard the beds were. The ski locker is nice but will only hold about 5 pairs of skis. The rest just have to lug theirs up the stairs everyday. The shower door on one of the showers came off of its tracks. We let the property manager know immediately, but it wasn’t fixed right away. So we had one less shower than originally advertised for the five days of our trip. Everything was very clean and it was nice to have a washer in the unit. Check in/ Check out 5/5: very easy to find the unit with the instructions provided. No problems here. Cleanliness 5/5Overall we really liked this unit and would come back again. Though the area is a bit loud, our family didn’t necessarily plan this trip as a relaxing stay. A few of the light sleepers put in earplugs and it was fine. The beds could definitely be better. Pay a few extra for quality mattresses, and it’ll go a long way for the guests. ##### Cole S.
