Alpine Museum apartment is a beautifully renovated Chamonix apartment on the first floor of the prestigious Residence Mont Blanc building overlooking the Place du Mont Blanc in the centre of Chamonix. It has two bedrooms, and two bathrooms, sleeping 4 people very comfortably. This Chamonix apartment boasts classical high ceilings, and is light and spacious, with a large open plan living area overlooking the river and the town centre, with a modern well equipped kitchen, lounge area and dining table and chairs for 4. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and an ensuite bathroom with an Italian shower. The 2nd bedroom of the Alpine Museum apartment can be made as either a twin or a king bed, and has access to the 2nd bathroom with bath (shower). The Residence Mont Blanc is one of Chamonix's oldest buildings and is home to the Chamonix Alpine Museum too, right in the centre of Chamonix itself.

Great location, charming with perfect views

The apartment is in a historic, residential building. Unfortunately the building is currently under a large renovation/re-construction of the museum part, and this created some minor inconvenience with parking and getting around the building. Nothing major, but a bit of a disappointment as the building is beautiful. The apartment is great, but everything is very old and in need of renovation. The front door can be better, and I really hope they label the keys as 3 key all look the same and they are for different locks. Chamonix is a magical place, so all in all, we loved our trip and the location of this apartment.

Great central location

Lovely place to stay in the centre of Chamonix. Close to the shops, bars and restaurants as well as the two bus stops for the ski slopes up and down the mountain. Very nice views of the mountains from the double aspect windows and down onto the river the other side. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Another wonderful stay at the Alpine Museum Apartment. We have stayed here for many years. Our daughter joined us after an 8 year gap. This time with her boyfriend. This was his first time to Chamonix. Safe to say that he thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the apartment which was so similar to the apartment that they currently live in at home. How lovely is that. Though there was construction work being carried out on the ground floor, we did not let it get in the way of our trip. If you want to experience a traditional French apartment, then this is the one to book. Thank you Jo and Chamonix All Year for another amazing stay.

I really think the “ cleaning” department with this company has nothing to do with standards required at least for the money asked. 3rd booking with them , constant issues with this department. Internet is stuck 10years ago. Still waiting for them to refund the deposit 5 days later … “as soon as housekeeping team inspect the ap”. :)) It used to be the check out day…lot of terms& condition , little in return ! Good setting space for the ap. lot of light, comfy beds, decent bathrooms. Good position, old building, spacious handy parking..

The only positive element of this apartment is the brightness and the view The apartment was not very clean (chair cushions, sofa, floor, baskets, .....) and you cannot keep the windows open due to the noise of the river and the restaurants a few meters away The building is poorly maintained and along the corridor the other condominiums leave shoes and trash can outside the door

Another Great Visit

We had another lovely time staying in the Alpine Museum Apartment booked through Chamonix All Year. I in particular was on a rest and recuperation holiday due to an injury. The wonderful view of Mont Blanc from the apartment helped tremendously. Thank you Chamonix All Year.

Weeks holiday in Chamonix

We had a comfortable stay in this beautiful old building. There was some noise on two nights from the local bars even with the windows closed. Double fridge was useful and dishwasher and washing machine very welcome. Some upgraded decoration would be useful and the additional provision of mats for coffee table and dining table. Staff extremely helpful. At end of the season would benefit from a Spring clean of dust corners.. but this did not distract from the stay.

Great Location

Excellent location in the heart of Chamonix, with external free car park, we always managed to find a space. Apartment has all the facilities you need for a trip. Communications with CAY were very responsive, very quick to respond to problem with wifi and provided alternative device. We were greeted on our arrival by Beth who was very friendly, she showed us around the appt and gave us some useful tips for local services etc

Cant beat this apartment has ski storage a parking space well equipped kitchen and even a sofa bed so you can spread out location is amazing right in town 2 min walk to supermarket - brilliant value would definitely come again to this apartment

A great apartment in the heart of Chamonix

Had a hassle free stay. The Staff were easy to deal with and know their stuff. The apartment has everything you need and the most wonderful views, can't fault the location either. Would happily use Chamonix All Year again and would also stay at this apartment again. I was a little concerned it may be too small for 3 adults but it wasn't the case.

Well located value for money apartment in the centre of Chamonix

The apartment is brilliantly located with amazing views of Mont Blanc and Brevent. It is a well laid out apartment with a lot of space and storage. The bathrooms were a great size as were the bedrooms. The kitchen was perfect for our needs. The WIFI was excellent too and it was nice to have a Bluetooth speaker to play some music. The apartment was clean albeit a bit dusty under the furniture so could do with a deep clean but bathrooms and kitchen was spotless.

Lovely light appartment, excellent location

Lovely spacious airy chalet with an abundance of natural light. 2 good sized bedrooms (lovely big beds!) and bathrooms. Modern spacious well equipped kitchen and the chef can be very much apart of the party. Very comfortable for a party of 4. Excellent location - very close proximity to the bus stops, restaurants (Munchies & Cap Horn excellent), super markets and après bars. We found the bus system quite complex to understand but got the hang of it after a couple of days. It would be really helpful to produce a blown up version of the central part of the Chamonix Map locating the 3/4 nearest bus stops (including there names, ie Place de Mont Blanc, Mummery, Cachet du Geant, Chamonix Centre) that provide access to all ski areas. It is a very efficient bus service once you have grasped exactly where the bus stops are. Also we found some amazing Mountain restaurants if you enjoy a good lunch - Brevent - La Bergerie de Plan Praz. Flegere - L’Adret. Alpage de Balme. Would recommend booking all a few hours before lunch. All in all a great place to ski and stay for a few nights or longer... We left Chamonix at 6pm and back in our beds in Scotland by 11pm!!

Perfect location, superb appartment

Perfectly situated in the centre of Chamonix, spacious, well maintained, beautifully furnished. It was a perfect stay in a perfect place. I strongly recommend it.
