This is a nice hotel but if you are restricted mobility wise there is no lift. Bearing in mind you will have luggage it won't be a good experience to carry cases 2 flights of stairs up and down. The staff were not always around to help me with my luggage. I booked a taxi to return to the train station, housekeeping were informed I needed help going down the 2 flights of stairs but, they did not arrive and I somehow in my 70s got my cases downstairs. Definitely a disadvantage having no lift to the rooms.

The hotel's exterior is very tired and run down, although its location beside the river is pleasant. Unfortunately, the room had an unusual smell, which appeared to be coming from the bed linen. The marble flooring throughout the hotel also made it extremely noisy, as every footstep and movement of furniture echoed around the building. Overall, it was an interesting experience, but not one I would wish to repeat.

"Beautiful old hotel. Very dog friendly. Views are amazing. Bedroom was very large and clean but needs bit of refurbishing. Found bedroom doors were a bit noisy when closing. As the weather was excellent we enjoyed sitting in our balcony relaxing and enjoying the view. Good walks. Great pool and hot ..."
