"We didn’t stay at Le Cheval Blanc as it was closed for holidays, Hotels.com advised of a nearby chambres d’hôtes and we stayed there ‘Au clos de Charny’ which was lovely, our only problem was our room was up two flights of steep stairs. The room was spacious and clean with a large comfortable bed, a very nice shower room with a good shower. The breakfast was superb, a great choice of cheeses and charcuterie, breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. The host is a lovely lady too."

"The owner welcomed us and explained all the details. The room was a little cramped with 4 and unfortunately very hot, but beds were very comforable and plenty of bedding and fresh towels provided, as well as helpful simple little extras such as shower gel and tissues. I like that a poster politely asks that people save energy (helping to reduce their bills and therefore cost for customers) by switching off lights etc. when leaving the room. "The staff was lovely, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The road noise is surprisingly quiet, but bedroom doors are quite loud. Shower pressure is a bit weak but does the job.The hotel doesn't have a restaurant so you get a voucher to eat at the nearby food places, which is helpful. Unfortunately, the iron to steam our clothes was not available anymore. The access to the hotel is a bit complicated: if you follow your navigation, it will make you use the motorway and do a back and forth. But there is an access the hotel without going through the motorway, look for road D225 out of Nemours."

"First ,I made a mistake and booked fir wrong date.Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly and changed booking with no drama . I like Campanile as they have parking and are inexpensive .Clean room and comfortable bed .I also like the fact they have kettles . A good stop on a long drive en route to Paris -supermarket nearby but didn’t explore the area . Calm spot "
