"I loved this hotel that sits just minutes from Capital Reef National Park.. It is like bringing a piece of the park with you as it sits almost alone on a hill surrounded by beautiful scenery. I thought it was a brand new hotel, but it is just very well maintained. I loved the outdoor gathering spot. There was one of the best quiet trails near the hotel. And just minutes down the road is the quaint little town of Torrey with some wonderful little food places. Take route 12 towards Bryce Canyon for a gorgeous scenery."

"All hotel areas that we saw were nicely clean including the stairwells which I use for exercise. these are carpeted, well lit and quiet. However when the last repaint job was done the new paint in the stairwells is not cut-into the baseboards and where the roller stopped shows the old white. Not terrible just slightly tacky. Our room was fine with the only complaint being that the carpet needed cleaning. Beds were fine, fridge worked beautifully as did all of the room accessories."
Red Sands Hotel & Spa

"Nice place, clean and comfy. It was tough to maneuver bringing someone with mobility issues to the 2nd floor, there was an elevator but a few uphill hallways to get around. Unfortunately the handicapped accessible was already booked. The restaurant had great food but service was lacking. I think mostly do to being understaffed. There were 2 people on the floor with one doing most the work and he was being pulled in several different directions so we were often waiting on things and our order got a little messed up."
Capitol Reef Resort

"While you could stay in the regular hotel part of this hotel, there are individual units, traditional Native-American teepees, and old wagon-trains offering you a very different experience after taking a long hike at Capitol Reef. Word of warning - we were there for 3 days and only one restarant was worth your hard earned money - La Cueva - 1 mile up the road towards Torrey. I had the worst sirloin steak at Hunt and Gather. I asked that it be removed from the bill, but it wasn't despite 7/8ths of the steak being returned on the dish."

"The room was clean and comfortable but nothing special. It was in a great location for the activities we had planned for that area. Staff was helpful with food recommendations."

"The hotel was clean, The staff were so nice. The breakfast left little to be desired. I’m gluten free so there weren’t many options. They did have a sign saying if you wanted gluten free ask the staff. I asked and they were helpful. The gluten free muffin they gave me was covered in mold. I get that they probably don’t get alot of requests but please check your product. Other than that it was great. We always stay at holiday inn because they are so clean and friendly."
