"The Rainbow Inn was perfect for our family of four.We chose the Aiea area because we knew, from a prior trip to Oahu, that the neighborhood is a perfect base for exploring the entire Island. The reviews and the photos of the property made our decision easy, and we had high hopes for our stay.Vicky and Grant and their little oasis on the edge of the valley overlooking Pear Harbor outperformed all of our expectations!Our plane arrived 9 hours late from Seattle. We kept Vicky updated on our progress and she was outside waiting to give us a quick tour before we rushed to shower, eat the thoughtfully provided and much needed breakfast, and head to our USS Arizona Memorial reservation. Being greeted by a smiling and sympathetic host, after what turned into a 14-hour layover in Seatle, was just what we needed, and we are so grateful!The lower level of the Inn, for guests, is very private and so much larger than we expected! We ate breakfasts and dinners there daily and spent most of our days out and about. Coming "home" to take a dip in the pool and relax poolside was icing on the cake.Vicky and Grant were friendly and welcoming and there to help, if needed.We would absolutely stay at the Rainbow Inn again. "We would absolutely stay here again!The location is perfect, tucked away in a safe and quiet neighborhood right across from a peaceful, secluded beach. The unit is stocked with all the beach gear you'll need for a fun day by or on the water, making it incredibly convenient. It's extremely family-friendly!Inside, the space is spotless and well-equipped with everything you need to cook any meal. The beds are super comfortable, and having a separate AC unit in each room was a game-changer during the hot days. Not to mention the fully stocked children's toys cabinet, which was a great bonus!The location is ideal for exploring the island – centrally located and easy to get to all the must-see spots.The hosts were exceptional! Communication was spot-on, and the welcome tour provided all the info we needed for a seamless stay.We can't recommend this property enough for anyone looking to experience the best of Hawaii. Whether you're planning a family vacation or a getaway with friends, this place checks all the boxes for comfort, convenience, and relaxation. We can’t wait to return!"
