"The location is the best, and it's very comfortable. There were a few minor issues with the bathroom (e.g. shower leak.) The parking is convenient but costs extra; overall it is expensive, but worth splurging."

"Fantastic place with small, but nice waterpark - lots to do even though it is small and a range of activities from water slides to wave pool to outdoor swim area. The staff were extremely friendly and even wore wolf ears. Will certainly return again."

"We loved our stay at The Monterey Hotel! The building has beautiful historic charm with modern comforts—clean, cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and a friendly, welcoming staff. The location is unbeatable—right in downtown Monterey, within walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf, Cannery Row, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We didn’t use our car once! Morning coffee and pastries were a nice touch, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend for couples or anyone looking to experience the heart of Monterey."
