We loved the photos we saw of Pine Cone Inn online, but as we drove into the driveway and beheld it in person, it was even better than imagined!
Our first impression was the air is so fresh and sweet, and the atmosphere is peaceful and quiet. Entering our downstairs rental unit we realized that the photos simply didn't do it justice: the place is spacious, beautifully decorated in cabin/lodge style, warm, inviting and immaculate. The small kitchen is well-appointed, and we found everything we needed for our meal preps. I was glad the bathroom had a tub, and enjoyed two soothing hot soaks in bath salts during our stay. The master bedroom is very large, with its own heating unit, a king-size bed on one end and on the other end a roomy sitting area w/TV and a massage chair. The second bedroom has 2 twin beds and it's own little gas/or electric stove for heating. Our favorite room was the living room, with its leather futon sofa & cozy easy chair w/ottoman foot rest, facing both the TV and a stone gas fireplace, which keeps the main room nice and toasty.
Our hosts Brad & Rick, who live in the upper level, could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They gave us lots of privacy, but always seemed to be available if we needed anything. Adding to the homey-ness of the place are 2 sweet old horses--our hosts' beloved family pets-- who reside in a stable on the other end of the property. We will be returning to Pine Cone Inn for sure....
