"There were teenagers running up and down the hall yelling and making a great deal of noise. The hotel staff refused to address it with the other guests."
"Second stay at Prairie Rose and will book again. Love the nostalgia of the place and the decor of the rooms. Beds are very comfortable. Bathroom amenities are provided. Lots of room space. There’s a great bar and dining service with a couple of large screens for watching sport broadcasts. Restaurant menu in room along with small bottled waters was very nice. Staff is very friendly and cordial. Very clean room and restaurant. Easy to access room and restaurant. Reasonable rates!"
"I only stayed one night but room was clean & comfortable
The breakfast was very good. It was nice to have hot options, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy in addition to breads & danishs"
"I booked this hotel based on the reviews and was sorely disappointed. Checking in the guys at the front desk “Mario” was unprofessional and was using profanity while on the phone with a calling guest who has having trouble locating the property. Please nice being check in, we walked to our room and opened the door to a foul smell, we had to open the window to try to air out whatever they had going on. The bathroom was absolutely disgusting. It looked like the shower floor had not been cleaned and there was hair from other guest on the shower floor and in the disgusting bathtub. I turned on the water to shower and it would not warm. My husband had to mess with it for about 10 min before we finally got hot water. The location of the hotel is convenient, but I would never stay here again. The photos they have on the hotel are most likely from 15 years ago because it is run down and gross now."
"We made a reservation at this hotel through Hotels.com. Unfortunately, due to an unpredictable highway closure, it was physically impossible for us to reach the property. We called hotels.com immediately to explain the situation. According to the representative there was not a manager on duty but according to the manager when called as soon as we could, they could have made an accommodation. but the hotel management completely refused to offer a refund, a partial refund, or even a credit for a future stay.
To make matters worse, the hotel was 100% booked that night. They almost certainly resold our room to someone else—meaning they pocketed our money and took payment from a second guest for the exact same room.
I understand hotels have cancellation policies, but exceptional and dangerous circumstances (like a closed highway) warrant basic human decency and flexibility. Taking a double payment while hiding behind "policy" is greedy and exploitative."
"This hotel was spotless from our room and bathroom to the breakfast area and laundry room.
The room was quiet and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was simple but decent. We would stay here again."
