Elizabeth and staff were so accommodating and kind. The service was amazing. The room was clean and it was a nice location. You'll need a car but it's a 5-10 min drive to everything you want to see and it's very peaceful in the morning. It's small and there is no door to the bathroom so keep that in mind if there is more than 1 of you. The bed was not very comfortable but nothing a nice morning stretch on the rooftop didn't fix. I'd recommend Ronny's for solo travelers or couples. Sunsets were beautiful and the restaurant was tasty.

The sunsets here are some of the most beautiful we’ve ever seen—golden, expansive, and perfectly framed by the surrounding jungle and ocean views. The resort truly lives up to its name, offering immersive nature experiences that feel both magical and serene. One of the most unforgettable highlights was the wildlife. We had close-up, personal encounters with monkeys that literally climbed onto our balcony—an experience you’ll never forget and one that perfectly captures how connected this resort is to its natural surroundings. The monkeys are harmless and fascinating to watch… just don’t leave your glass door open 😉. Parador strikes the perfect balance between luxury and nature. You feel completely relaxed, surrounded by beauty, yet supported by an incredibly thoughtful and attentive team who clearly take pride in what they do. We had an amazing time staying at Umami. The grounds are beautiful and well-kept, the staff was amazing and the location was close to the beach. Also the drinks from the bar, 10/10\. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Puerto Viejo!

This resort was amazing. The hotel staff were so friendly, we loved all of the pools, loved the spa and restaurants. The view of the volcano was amazing from our room. We celebrated our 25th anniversary here and it could not have been better. They upgraded our room and gave us a bottle of wine. The massage I had here was the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely stay here again!
