"Extremely comfortable home with a great sense of history. I booked for four days to take my four adult children and my teenage grandson away to celebrate a birthday. We enjoyed some lovely walks and explored the castle and church. In the evenings we played board games in the cosy sitting room and the formal dining room made mealtimes special. "A lovely stay at Bucknell Station Cottage, just perfect for us (2 adults and 2 children). The kids loved staying in their room together and the wooden train set was a nice touch, going well with looking out the window as the big trains rolled past! Very well located for day trips in and around Shropshire as well as over the nearby border in to lovely Wales. Home made flapjacks greeting us on arrival were very well received! "This is our 8th stay here. It's a lovely lodge in a peaceful, rural setting with a few other lodges surrounding it. It is really well equipped, comfortable an excellent find. We originally came for the steam railway that's nearby but our son lives close by so it's convenient for visiting. Jan and Paul are great hosts, nothing to much trouble and it's always spotless."
