This is separated from town (and from where guests would arrive by plane or boat) by a small channel called 'The Split'. This means the transport of guests for check-in is recommended to be organized by our concierge and comes at an extra cost. It involves a taxi pickup at the boat terminal/airstrip which then heads north, crosses 'The Split' on a small barge, and drives a few minutes north to the property. Guests are approximately 10 minutes away from town by bicycle but still have to cross the channel on the barge and pay a small fee at every crossing. Parking notes: No parking available. This rental is located on floor 1. We loved being able to walk right outside and be by the water or the pool. The house lacked some basics like ice-cube trays, additional throw blankets and enough shampoo to last more than two days, but otherwise was well-appointed. Note, when we were there the inflatable double kayaks were missing their rudders, rending them basically inoperable. But the bikes and canoes were great. We were able to go into lively south Caye Caulker by day and relax by the pool and our place on the north side by afternoon/evening. It was really nice to have bikes at our disposal, as well as the canoes. We were really excited to use the kayaks, but unfortunately, they were missing their rudders, rendering them inoperable. The pool was just the right size, and perfect for cooling off, and the dock was a great place to relax in the mornings and evenings. As far as the unit is concerned, it far exceeded our expectations. The bed was comfortable, and the room was situated at the back of the unit, making it quieter and easier for sleep. Bring your own toiletries. There was only one travel-sized shampoo/ conditioner/ soap for the two of us, which was gone in two days. The unit could use a few extra amenities -- like ice trays, which we bought and left in the freezer -- and patio chairs for sitting outside during the day. We had to move the barstools outside to enjoy the breeze. Otherwise, we would 100% recommend this place to anyone! ##### Melissa DeVaughn H.
