This commune of the Var, surrounded by Cap Cavalaire and Cap Lardier, is built on an old Greek colony and owes its fame to its long sandy beach, as well as its various coves. The city also experienced its heyday during the Allied landing in Provence in 1944, as it was the scene of major American military operations.
