Can't say enough about Indigo Dreams. This was exactly the vacation I wanted. It was hot for sure (Aug in the desert!) but AC worked great and the pool was still cool enough to be refreshing. We did not use the spa, fire, wifi & some other things at all so can't comment on them. The outdoor seating was comfy & attractive, and the backyard seemed pretty dog safe. We had 3, and while they were supervised at all times outside, none of them seemed in danger of escaping.
Indoors, the decor is quite nice. The kitchen was well stocked in terms of equipment and had quite a few odds and ends such as oils, spices, vinegar, hot cocoa. You take some and/or leave some. Most of the flooring is treated concrete. Everyone thought they were lovely & were low maintenance (You didn't have to worry if you were still damp from the pool and needed to step inside to potty). The living room had plenty of seating and was comfy.
The bedrooms were also attractive & comfortable. There was a good mix of types of mattresses (2 were firm and 2 were softer) so we each chose our rooms based on mattress preference & were all happy with our sleep quality. The linens on the beds were good ones, and there were plenty of pillows (& different types of them), with extras in the closets so you can find a pillow (Or 5) that works for you...no need to bring your own, even if you're picky. Some toiletries provided.
In general, Joe was great - very professional - not too personal or too stand-offish...just right. Specifically, he was easy to work with when my dogs tore a blind on one of the front french doors. I was super stressed about it and text Joe what happened. His first question back was whether we needed anything to see to our comfort (Did we still have enough privacy/sunshade etc?). He never came across as upset (Though if I were him I would have been super annoyed...he didn't let on if he was) and we ended up working out my paying for the damages with my deposit. If you know you damaged something, just own up to it OK? He's really reasonable and doesn't make you feel awful.
The house is an easy drive to both P. Desert & P. Springs. It's wheelchair friendly I think (Few/maybe no steps, doors wide enough). In cooler months it's a short drive to hiking. Movies, eateries, shops, groceries, tram all easy drives (Don & Sweet Sue's good 4 breakfast & very dog friendly on the patio & provide water & a treat). If you take the 10 in/out go to the outlet mall!
