Updated tile flooring in the living area and on the covered back patio. Desert Princess CC and Resort has a 27 hole championship golf course, 10 tennis courts, 32 community pools, updated fitness center, on site day spa, and recently remodeled clubhouse and clubroom. Only minutes from downtown Palm Springs and the Palm Springs airport. With mountain views in the backdrop, you will be sitting on the patio relaxing and overlooking a lush green golf course, with fountains of water in the course lake. If you are also in to keeping in shape, the Desert Princess Country Club and Resort is the place for you. Besides the golf, you can also bike ride inside the resorts guarded complex. There are also Class-A tennis courts, a pickle-ball court, racquetball courts, many swimming and lap pools, and a top-notch expansive fitness and weights facility. For hiking, head out to the many hiking trails that start in the local mountain foothills. You can also ride the Tram up to the top of the San Jacinto Mountains. The aerial tram travels two and one half miles up the mountain to a pristine wilderness aboard the World’s Largest Rotating Tramcars. From there the hiking is endless. After all of the fitness activities, head to the spa for some pampering. For entertainment, the casinos are right downtown about 7 miles away. In Palm Springs the Annenberg Theater presents some of the finest performers from the world of music, drama, comedy, opera, and dance. You will feel like you are on vacation your entire visit. City of Cathedral City STVR Permit Number: 013128 The Community of Desert Princess & HOA Rules and Regulations... Have a nice time, but please have respect for the other neighbors of the Desert Princess. Some are permanent residents, and this is their home. Keep the noise level reasonable, and especially at night. Also please keep the back area clear of the games and other personal items after you are finished with them. There is growing momentum in the Coachella Valley, and in Cathedral City, to impose restrictions on Short Term Vacation Rentals (STVR), and my unit falls into this category. In my experience with the rental of my unit, I have been very fortunate to have responsible tenants and have not had any complaints, but I also need to share the following information. Any fees & fines that are imposed will be the responsibility of the renting tenant. With these new restrictions comes some new rules to follow: 1\. All guests must receive and review the document “Desert Princess Palm Springs Governing Documents”. As part of the rental agreement you must acknowledge you have reviewed the document and agree to these terms. 2\. A $200 service fee shall be instituted for rental properties where the Desert Princess Patrol Services find it necessary to call Cathedral City Police or STVR Hotline to respond to a noise problem. This fee will be the responsibility of the tenant. 3\. There is a strict occupancy limit of 4 persons for overnight stays and 4 persons for non-overnight stays. 4\. There is a color-coded vehicle pass system for vehicles. 5\. People in the area are extremely sensitive to noise. Occupants shall respect the neighbors' privacy and peaceful enjoyment of their property. 6\. No outdoor music shall be used outside at any time. Music played from the inside of the STVR shall not be heard beyond the property line of the STVR at all times. 7\. Use of outdoor amenities/activities that create noise is prohibited from 10 PM to 8 AM. 8\. As a part of the rental agreement, the following must be provided to the HOA prior to occupancy: a. Main tenant: i. Name ii. Address iii. Phone number iv. A valid government ID and Number. (e.g. Drivers License number) b. Names of all occupants. c. Identity of all vehicles in the renting party. This will be submitted to the patrol services. i. Vehicle make/model. ii. License plate number. The layout of the condo and rooms was perfect to have guests, beautiful views from every room of the grounds and golf course, short walk or bike ride to the clubhouse (food was delicious). I always felt safe and love the amenities (especially the spa). This house was in a great location and had two masters. Perfect for us and our friends to share without thinking someone got a better room. Big closets, bathroom, and bedrooms. The kitchen was a little dated but was stocked with everything we needed. My family and I truly enjoyed our weekend stay in this very comfortable and roomy condo. It had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed all the amenities at the beautiful Desert Princess too. My 2 year old daughter loved running around outside on the green belt and seeing the ducks and koi fish in the lakes. We even picked lemons and grapefruit from nearby trees :) Bill the owner is awesome! I called at the last minute and fortunately the condo was available. Bill was extremely pleasant and helpful and made the whole rental process easy. Good location for what we wanted/needed, convenient access to Shopping, Restaurants, Groceries and Outdoor Adventures. Check-in process was easy and no hassles at all and the small Christmas Welcome Gift was Appreciated! The place was very comfortable, clean and just like the posted pictures. Patio off the sliding doors was a great place to have a morning coffee and enjoy the sunrise. Communication with the owner Bill was quick and efficient and was only for a couple of minor "issues" that where quickly sorted out! The Country Club grounds, swimming pools and hot tubs where Great. Closest pool and hot tub a short 2 minute walk away. We all agreed that we wished we had spent more time in PS and at Desert Princess CC. We would gladly stay again - Thanks ##### Calvin R. We used to live in one of the houses at DPCC 20 years ago. The outdoor furniture needs to be replaced as the wood table is peeling and I snagged my shirt on it. The cushions on the chairs are flat and give no support. Those need to be replaced as well. My biggest concern was the lack of control with the a/c. The condo was 85 when we arrived and could only lower the temp to 75. The first two days we were there it was in the 90’s in PS. I texted the owner and he lowered it to 73. Better but still warm. the ceiling fan in living room didn’t cool very much even on the high setting.. The master bedroom was very cool and the ceiling fan was great! Overall we enjoyed being there. ##### Lynette L. We've stayed at many rental properties in Palm Springs. This condo was quite good. As you can see in the photos it's a bit dated, but comfortable and convenient. As always it's great having a kitchen and washer/dryer on vacation. There were lots of towels and supplies in the condo which was lovely. The bathrooms were spacious and the showers were great. The information booklet provided by the host was very thorough and thoughtful. A few shortcomings to note: 1. There are two king beds which is great, but the mattresses have very poor motion isolation so any little movement was felt throughout. This resulted in less than ideal sleeps. 2. The pots and pans, as well as the knives, are very very worn. Many of the supplies are. I had to buy knives in order to be able to cook properly (which I left there for the next guest). 3. The dryer is extremely loud. 4. The floors were very dirty so we had to wear slippers the entire time. There are many pools at Desert Princess but note that they are a bit run down and not cleaned regularly. There was a lot of debris in the pools. However the grounds are beautiful and well kept! ##### Julie L. I have come to Cathedral City for 14 years in April and have known of the Desert Princess, so for this year, I knew it would be a good fit for me because I am familiar with the area. 2. Bill, the Property Manager, is excellent to work with. The level of communication is high and he responds quickly. I like that because I am the type of person who wants to know exactly what to expect ahead of time. 3. The D.P. is about 5 - 10 minutes from PSP. Security is tight. Upon entrance, you are required to show your pass which you are given upon arrival. Palm Springs is about a 10 minute drive. 4. It is very quiet, the facility is one story, it is a stucco type of building so that it stays cool even without the air conditioner. 5. The floor plan is excellent. The living room and kitchen/dining area are in the center of the condo. On one side is a bedroom that opens to a bathroom with a shower/tub. This bedroom is also accessible from the main living area. The opposite side has the Master with a shower. Both baths have double sinks and an additional storage closet with towels, places to hang clothes and fun play stuff for the pool and lawn. All areas have sliding doors to access the patio which overlooks the golf course. 6. Walking distance to a heated lap pool (25 yards long and 4 - 5 feet deep) is 2 minutes. The regular small pool with hot tub is 2 minutes. 7. We have access to the Desert Princess pool, which is a maximum of 5 minutes away and is huge and wonderful. Bar, hot tub and complimentary towels along with a restroom that can accomodate diaper changing. 8. Plates, dishes, pans, etc. are endless. Some staples are provided. 9. We walked across the street to Stater Brothers for our food and beverage items. 10. Loved every aspect of it! I'm hoping to book again next year at the same time.
