Castletown Holidays from £288

We stayed 2 weeks. We loved it! If you have never driven in Ireland, I recommend staying off the roads that start with an R as much as possible. This place has two ways in and out of for sight seeing. When you exit the gate, turn left. Best way to go anywhere. The place is quiet, and very comfortable! Mel, the owner was amazing and very quick to answer questions and tend to our needs. This place has everything, so not much was needed. Shopping is less than 4 miles away. Food and Kilkenny, are not much farther. The shower in Mews 1, is the best shower we have ever had in a Vrbo! When we were not traveling, it was amazing to sit outside on the couches and relax. Many nights we played cards with drinks. Peaceful and quiet! The black cat is very friendly! It has an old cottage look and feel to it. We loved it! In Kilkenny, we recommend Mat the Millers for food and drinks! The fish and chips and Guinness stew were our favorites! You will not leave hungry. We also recommend Ryan’s bar! It’s a fun place with live music . Lots to see and do in the area. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks for having us Mel!

Staff was excellent. We had inquired about laundry services through the expedia app. When we arrived, she had researched local places, as the inhouse had a 24hour turnaround service, but we were only staying 1 night.

Despite being an older property this hotel has kept the best of the past and integrated it with currently accepted standards. The hotel and staff couldn't be better. The room was comfortable and had a lovely table next to the window seating area for two with a large table next to the window. Walking to your room every staff member greeted you with a welcome and a smile. The location was great and for our first visit to Waterford itvset the stage.
