Castle Rock State Park

The front desk staff wasn’t helpful at all. The ac in our room didn’t work the two hours we were in there. When I went to tell them that, they acted like I was a huge inconvenience and actually wanted me to wait longer. The fact that this hotel didn’t offer any kind of complimentary breakfast was very disappointing. For the amount I paid for this room there should have been something available for breakfast. The room wasn’t the cleanest. There was shower scum on the shower floor, the toilet continued to run, and there were spots on the bedding. I won’t be staying here again.

The rooms are devoid of any character, the furniture is old, the bed was creaky and the in-room coffee was nasty. The fire alarm went off one morning and caused great stress to other travelers. Apparently it was a malfunction. One day I didn’t receive housekeeping so I asked to have the room cleaned while I was at dinner. I returned hours later to a the same uncleaned room. The bartender was excellent.
