The owners even marked off trails through the woods that is an easy hike down to town (less than a mile). We had the pleasure of meeting Patch and he was so nice and welcoming. Staying at this property made it even more special! It was our first time to this part of the North Carolina mountains, and there were lots of things we wanted to do and see. The house was the perfect base camp for those adventures. We grilled out, made multiple fires in the fire pit, walked the trail to town, and watched a Florida State football victory in the outdoor sitting room! One of the best parts, my four-legged best friend was able to join. Patch was amazing to communicate with and has established a top notch home-away-from-home for travelers.
