Very cute, comfortable cabin and it had everything we needed for a little getaway. It was perfect for just the two of us. Check in was easy and the property manager was very responsive (there was a short power outage but they were right on it, checking on the situation for us).

perfect getaway spot

The cabin was just what we were looking for! Clean, homey, and close to several hikes and waterfalls all around Cashiers. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to get away in the mountains of North Carolina

Weekend Break

Great cabin for a weekend break close to Cashiers and Highlands. Cabin is clean, in good condition and well equipped. Neighborhood is quiet but not too far from the main road. Easy to find. Plenty to see and do nearby. Host is very pleasant to work with and gave detailed instructions and information about the cabin.

It was the perfect place for a quick small family getaway! It was close to town and just off a main road. There were many things to do around us like going to Gorges State Park and exploring the town of Cashiers. We lucked out and had snow while we were there!

Lovely, quiet cabin near beautiful waterfalls.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hollow. The cabin was very comfortable and clean and the surrounding property is beautiful and quiet. We enjoyed hiking the nearby private trails to see the waterfalls and swim. It's a unique experience to enjoy so many falls in uncrowded spaces. I would love to revisit.

Cozy mountain getaway

Property is charming and well maintained and close to many area attractions. It was perfect for my wife and I for a short get away. The only negative thing was that it was very hot the week we stayed here and the house only has one window AC unit and ceiling fans. The inside temperature was a bit warmer than I would have liked it.

We were drawn by the listing having unique trails to beautiful waterfalls but the trail is no longer accessible and dead ends at a stream. The host has never taken the trail and is using dated maps and info from the last owner so they were no help. Disappointing. We had flying carpenter ants or termites swarming while we were there. The showerhead wasn’t attached to anything so we had to hold the showerhead up by hand. The host was very quick to respond and did offer to have the showerhead fixed but we felt it shouldn’t have been an issue in the first place and didn’t want people disrupting us. The cabin is nice, though not as secluded as I had hoped. There is no door to the bedroom and plenty of large windows with a main house just steps away looming overhead. All in all we were offered an extra hour later checkout that we didn’t want or need.
