We came to Virginia for a family member's change of command/retirement from the Navy in Norfolk. This house was perfect for our stay. The apartment has lovely decor and very comfortable beds. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 dogs. We enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the screened porch with gorgeous water views. Would have liked more yard space for the dogs, but we adjusted well. Keep in mind there is no water access from the property. And one of my dogs did adventure into the marsh once and needed a bath. (Just a warning to dog owners with adventurous pups). Lucy and Jerry were very accommodating and friendly hosts. Even though the neighborhood seemed "off the beaten path" we were able to get door dash delivery and a Lyft to dinner one night without a problem. While the apartment has a well equipped kitchen, we choose to eat out mostly. Yummy sushi, Mexican, and seafood options close by. We highly recommend this property! ##### Mary K. The sweet aroma of the marsh, the calling of the birds, and welcome relaxation on the screened porch, all came together to recall spending youthful summers on the banks of the Chuckatuck.
