"Very quiet. beautiful views. The pods were a bit too small but otherwise loved our stay. Great restaurant and bar. Don’t try and bring outside food into the bar to eat with their drinks. (This was frowned upon). But there was an awesome food truck just up the road (Pizza in the Skye) and we couldn’t resist… They moved us to the “lounge”, which was right next to the bar. Extensive whisky to be enjoyed at their bar. "

"This hotel has class! And the scenic view of the lake and mountains is spectacular. The staff are helpful...don't be afraid to ask questions. Food was great. Started our day with a tasty Scottish breakfast and we're still going strong tonight. "

"Lovely secluded hotel. Rather expensive for rooms and dining but very good. No mushrooms on the Scottish breakfast. Very quiet and cosy public areas. Friendly staff. Only downside was the two mile single track drive (with passing places) which was severely pot-holed, borderline dangerous and definitely wouldn't want to drive it in the dark."

"Loved Portree and this hotel. Our only suggestion would be to book dining reservations in advance. We BARELY got in for dinner after trying 5-6 restaurants as a walk-up. And this was early in the season (3rd week of April). The brunch at the hotel is great, but I'd also book that early if you want an early start out on the trails."

"Nice place to stay. Quick check in. Comfortable clean room. The only issue i had was i couldn't seem to get hot water one of the days. Breakfast was excellent."
