Cozy mountain home w/ Hot Tub, Dogs Ok, Lake Tahoe -Los Osos
Hot Tub - Mountain Home
Tucked into the serene Agate Bay neighborhood on the North Shore, Los Osos is a warm, spacious mountain home made for the kind of vacation you'll talk about all year. Whether you're here to ski, hike, paddle, or simply exhale — this is your place.
Two levels of living space, two rock fireplaces, and a hot tub waiting for you under the stars. The upper great room connects an open kitchen, large dining area, and a cozy living room with a gas fireplace. Step onto the deck and catch glimpses of Lake Tahoe through the evergreens. The ground level has its own living room, bedroom, and bath — perfect when two families are sharing. The master suite upstairs has a King bed and private en-suite. A Queen bedroom sits on the ground level. Two additional bedrooms round out the group.
Out back, protected forest stretches as far as you can see — trails for hiking and snowshoeing start right at the door. Palisades Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar are all within 15 miles. Kayaking, rafting, and mountain biking fill the summers. Tahoe City and Kings Beach are minutes away for dining and coffee.
Dogs welcome (2 max, $100/dog). No A/C — rarely needed at elevation.
Come as you are. Leave restored.ay a $100 dog fee per dog, 2 dog maximum. If you bring a dog without paying the dog fee, you will be subject to a fine and are in breach of contract which could result in being asked to leave the property.

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Cleanliness
Rats
I would say that the home is a typical Tahoe rental in that it needs general repairs but was overall what we expected. My family and I have rented homes in the Tahoe area for years and expect some minor repair/maintenance issues. However, this house had a rat problem. We could hear them at night in the walls, we had to keep our food in sealed containers and caught at least 6 rats in the kitchen while we were staying there in under two weeks. It made for a very uncomfortable and not very relaxing vacation.

Great house
We loved this house. We were two families each with a dog.
It is difficult to find a house that suits these needs that is great value.
The upstairs and downstairs living rooms create a great environment for the kids to hang out separately. Plenty of space and big deck to enjoy.
Would definitely come back again!
We loved the layout of the house! It was perfect for a larger group, where we didn’t feel crowded. The hot tub was a bonus and the location was great. Loved our stay here!
We were caught off guard when the property description and photos of the number and type of beds was inaccurate. We had many singles on this trip - adults and teenagers - and we were counting on the beds as described (2 twins and 4 bunk beds). Unfortunately when we arrived, the beds had been changed to 1 king, 1 double, and 2 bunk beds. One of our party had to sleep on the floor, and one on the couch. Otherwise the stay was lovely, and the property had everything we needed.
We stayed there with 8 guests. All the amenities we needed were there. The location was great, too.

Spacious yet cozy home
We had a wonderful holiday spent at this super accommodating home. We all enjoyed the hot tub, hosting family dinners in the kitchen & dining room, and relaxing in either of the two living rooms. The views were goergeous and the neighborhood was cute too. Would highly recommend this home.
