Red Flag Warnings: Due to extreme fire danger, bonfires, charcoal barbecues and wood-burning fire pits are strictly prohibited. You cannot use outdoor gas grills or gas fire pits during Red Flag Warnings. All outdoor fires are prohibited, both gas and wood. It is your responsibility to be informed of Red Flag Warnings. Winter Driving Many highways, access roads and/or driveways are steep in Tahoe/Truckee and may be icy in the winter. To ensure your safety, it is critical that during November 1st - April 30th brakes, windshield wipers, defroster, heater and exhaust system are in top condition. Tires need to be properly inflated and the tread must be in excellent condition. Always carry tire chains, even if driving an AWD/4WD vehicle. Make sure the chains are the proper size for your tires and are in working order. All outdoor tables, chairs and loungers are put into storage in the fall, in order to protect the furnishings from winter weather. Barbecue grills, however, do remain outside for your enjoyment. Black bears are very common in this area and have become habituated to human food and garbage. Because bears no longer have a strong fear of humans, you may encounter bears during your spring, summer and fall stays. Feeding bears is illegal. Leaving food outside, trash accessible, or doors and windows unlocked is likely to cause significant property damage to homes and to vehicles. Please take a moment to learn how to be Bear Aware, so that we can continue to live in harmony with our wildlife. Office Holiday Hours The TLUXP office is closed on New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. Therefore, we are unable to accommodate check-ins and check-outs on these dates. The house was stocked with all the amenities and was cozy and clean. The best part was the big yard and lake access which was perfect for our little kids. Very clean though main house was a little dated. A little confusing in that some of the rooms pictured were separate from main house above garage. These were newer and in great condition. Beds and bedding were top of the line . Plenty of kitchen ware and all appliances worked perfectly. Outside furniture a bit worn out. Biggest problem was fireplace which we needed even in May. Smoked up the whole house. Mgmt came twice but was unable to fix. All in all a nice stay in spite of that as the outside setting and view made up for some of the indoor shortcomings. ##### Andrew A. This has to be the nicest place we've ever stayed in Lake Tahoe. The view from the dining room and couch is breathtaking. It was nice to have a separate living area above the garage for guests. There was a really nice walkway along the beach right outside the property which was so nice to walk. Would recommend this place to anyone! This home was CLEAN and I mean very clean! I am very detailed oriented, and every detail on this home was perfect! Nice furniture to lounge in, nice bedding to sleep, nice everything!
