The Horton Grand, although historic and located in a great location, shows signs of needing work. Carpet is worn and doors do not fit well (bathroom door would not close.) We stayed in a "balcony" suite. The balcony was barely large enough to stand on, so not much of a perk. The windows and exterior door are not well sealed, so street noise (cars and people) was very loud, to the point of needing earplugs to sleep.
There was a deal on the room price, which was why we chose to stay there, but it was balanced out by the $62 per night valet charge.

Staff is extremely helpful with getting you checked in and navigating the property. Our room was clean and spacious, the kids enjoyed having their own area. My only complaint is that our room was next door to the gym and unfortunately for us the gym is open from 7am-10pm… so we woke up to weights ...

The room itself was mediocre (only had a mini fridge that sort of worked) but it was very clean. The cleaning staff were excellent. We wanted to order breakfast but the waitress just walked away without saying anything so we left.
