"Marta has built a truly beautiful space, and is a wonderful hostess! She responds very quickly and provided exceptional suggestions for our stay in Puerto Viejo!!! We loved this home so much. There's plenty to explore in the surrounding community. When not exploring, it is the perfect little oasis for a swim, siesta or overall tranquility. We can't wait to come back!!!"

"We had the best time at this house! Close to grocery stores, restaurants, 7-8 different perfect beaches. The house was perfect for our family. The only downside was the main areas did not have a/c, but each room did so it was completely manageable. Howler monkeys right outside our windows and various birds to listen too and amazingly beautiful butterflies just flying around. The maid and pool boy came in to clean while we were gone and communication with Emma was phenomenal. Great place to stay!"

"We loved the property, having the private pool and AC were definite pluses. The kitchen was functional and the bathrooms were nice - the weather makes cool showers ok and you don't miss the hot water too much. "What a beautiful property! Communication with the owner was fantastic. We rented the three casitas on the property and all were perfect for our group. The grounds and pool were immaculate. The wildlife was abundant with sloths, parrots, toucans, capuchin monkeys, howlers and more. Cesar and Maribel were there for all of our needs and made us feel safe. Would highly recommend for sure!"

"The primary reason to stay in this casita is the location and the stunning views. The garden is beautiful with a path that opens to La Playa Negra. The beach is quiet and private and absolutely breathtaking. We were able to spot the sloth in the garden on a few occasions and had an up close view of him moving once which was very special. As previously mentioned in reviews, there was a bottle of wine and chocolate waiting for us. We were met to check in and get acclimated to the environment....

"First, the location is great. Close to town, close walk to beach and in the jungle enough to see monkeys, sloths, crabs, agoutis, iguanas, birds, frogs and lots of insects. Caretaker and neighbors were a little loud. Outside living area is nice. Inside area is worn and needs some attention. Needs more fans, only one standing fan and the ceiling fans were set to lowest setting so were not useful, stove wouldn't light, dishwasher but no dishwasher soap and couldn't find any at supermarkets, no...

"Villa mango was the perfect spot for our family reunion. A pool in the centre everyone with their own space and room and a gorgeous outdoor kitchen and bbq. Would highly recommend. Yves was such a great host and helped with every small question and even sourced some amazing fresh fish for us one day. Thank you!"

"This was our second time staying at Villa Toucan. We love the place. It has more wildlife than anywhere else we've been in Costa Rica. Oropendolas, Macaws, Toucans, and Bat Falcons all nesting right in view of the outdoor kitchen. This place also has a large concentration of snakes, spiders, and beautiful Poison Dart Frogs. It's in your face wilderness! The house is tucked up into Manzanillo National Park with a nice walk to one of the prettiest beaches we've seen. We will return again!"

"Waking up to the sounds of the beach is amazing! Just a short walk down through their beautiful garden with a resident sloth is the black sand and warm waves. The room was quite comfortable. The bathroom could use a couple more hooks for wet items since things take a while to dry. The property managers are extremely responsive to any concerns and very welcoming!"

"Club Puerto Viejo was amazing. Having access to a pool and other relaxing spaces is what my family needed. We loved the outdoor lounge and kitchen areas. The rooms were great too and usually cooled off at night. We also enjoyed being close to the beach and great places to eat. Those looking for rest and relaxation will love this place!!"

"We loved our stay at Las Casas - it was our own slice of paradise. The pictures don’t do it justice. One thing to note there is no games room or yoga deck but we didn’t mind as we had more space than we knew what to do with. There were so many wild animals passing through we were in heaven and the staff couldn’t have been better. Hoping we can return again one day."

"Based on previous reviews, I booked! I did not receive the warm welcome others spoke about. I made several inquiries to the host weeks before my arrival, only receiving a reply the day I was in route to the area. When flying to another country it's common to ask for the location information prior to your arrival. This helps to make transportation arrangements. Pros: 1. Accommodations were very clean and property was secured. 2. We received 2 beach towels on arrival. 3. Close to Hotel Banana...

"Lovely resort tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy town. You wouldn’t even know it’s there. Need to have coffee makers in the rooms along with access to communal water and ice. For the price, it was expensive."

"This was an amazing property with lovely, patient staff, and owners who had an answer for each of the (many, many) questions we had. The area is beautiful and safe, and the owners make it a point to make sure guests are getting what they want out of a vacation. Thank you for nudging us to bike to Punta Uva, Eric.
