Fedwen Uchaf, Tresaith
Fedwen Uchaf is a converted semi-detached former milking parlour dating back to 1793, just 5 minutes drive to Tresaith beach on Cardigan Bay. Set on a smallholding away from the hustle and bustle and crowds, the cottage is perfect for a tranquil coastal holiday. The cottage is spacious and comfortable with its own private patio to enjoy eating outside or evening drinks or relaxing in front of the wood burner in the cosy lounge.
Fedwen Uchaf is close to Tresaith, and there is a footpath across the fields and through bluebell woods to the village with its popular pub, The Ship, where you can sit and enjoy a meal and drink overlooking the sandy beach with its unique freshwater waterfall and spot bottlenose dolphins at sea. From Tresaith, join Ceredigion Coast Path to enjoy miles and miles of spectacular coastal scenery and an abundance of wildlife. Walk to Aberporth with its two sandy beaches and village amenities or to the long sandy National Trust beach at Penbryn and on to Llangrannog. If adventure is more your thing, there are many water sports you can get involved with locally, including sailing, surfing, and fishing. New Quay, a short drive away offers dolphin spotting boat trips and paddle board hire.
The market town of Cardigan is 8 miles away with supermarkets, independent shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants. The Georgian town of Aberaeron to the north has colourfully painted houses, shops, and takeaways. Further afield explore the towns and beaches of North Pembrokeshire or the stunning landscape of the Cambrian Mountains in Ceredigion.
