Stunning original features in reception and great onsite parking. The room was clean and sheets, pillow cases, towels fresh and laundered. The twin beds were small and the pillows, quilts and mattress covers had seen better days. Staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. I would stay again.

Absolutely lovely hotel. The room was very spacious, which was a surprise after I’d spent a week in a shoebox sized room in London paying the same price. The staff was great. I only wish I’d spent more than one night.

Old, poorly maintained, very dirty, telephone did not work, restroom had a urine smell, no room service as advertised, furniture with scratches, rugs with stains, really, really bad We had to check out after the first of three nights reserved (did not get our money back) Go somewhere else

It is fair to say that this hotel has seen better days, especially regarding decor and cleanliness overall. There was an odd odour in the corridors. The sealant on our bathroom as well as the shower knob mechanism had some mould on it. Carpets were stained in our room. The staff were all very pleasant and attentive and breakfast was very good.

This is our 6th stay at the angel hotel. Its in a convenient position to the city centre and night life. The hotel needs to be freshened up but we still love it

It was a lovely hotel. Room had been refurbished and contained everything you needed. The refreshment tray was a little disappointing and there was no bottle of water provided. It would be nice to have access to plant based milk on the tray and also at breakfast. Luckily I had my own.

Our bathroom smelt badly of mould and was a small and cold room. The bed was not made when we arrived and the sheet on the mattress was not tucked in or fitted. We had to remake the whole bed ourselves. The smell in the room because worse over the weekend.

Loved it ,right opposite Cardiff castle,parked at the rear £15.for 24 hrs,great deal. Ok it’s an old hotel,expect creaks,chipped paint etc,staff charming and helpful we stayed for breakfast,very good where you could order porridge,poached eggs very good quality..Will definitely go back.

The Angel Hotel is one of my top favourite Hotel in Cardiff. Even better when an offer is on . It’s convenient with shops , restaurants & going out to theatre ,show's & concerts. Definitely recommend.

Found a great deal for the evening. Wouldn’t pay over what we paid for. Service and staff were amazing! Comfy bed. Noisy area if you’re not used to it, but suited us close to where we needed to go. Very warm in rooms, a little dated but didn’t stop us enjoying. Would return if had the same deal
