I liked this place, it’s a convenient place, and the building is quite, staff are very nice, feel welcoming as well. Only thing is the wood floor inside does not feel really clean, I guess it’s the age. But the bedding had strong smell, smells like it did not dry up properly

Location amazing.
Right in the centre of town.
Lots of stairs, be prepaid if you are on the 6th 7th floor!
Definitely in need of new beds.
And you need to be 6/7ft to see out of the windows. If your below that, stand on the bed. Then you might see the sky. Disappointed!

The only fault I had was struggling to get up 47 steps on stairs to get to the second floor for reception . Not that long had a spine operation and found it a real struggle . I never seen any info on booking this hotel before hand otherwise I wouldn’t have booked this hotel . Other than that room was really clean and staff and location was great .

While the location and staff are wonderful, we were left disappointed in our room. This room would be a nightmare for any elderly people and is a nightmare for women. There are no plugs in the bathroom so you can’t do anything using the mirror. The blowdryer is attached to the wall in the closet so you essentially have to bend into the closet to dry your hair. We found one plug to use for all of our needs and it was no where near the side tables. The shower has no shelves or place to put shampoo or anything and for older people can be dangerous bending down to get things off the floor. The bedroom floor was covered in glitter as well. Overall our stay was pleasant, the staff were very knowledgeable and friendly, it was clean for the most part, but it’s not user friendly women and maybe not the safest for elderly people.

Unfortunately, in the UK there are limitation on where sockets can be placed in bathrooms and to adhere to these would negate the convenience of having a socket in the bathroom. When arriving to our room we noticed stains on our bed we looked past this however in the morning when having a shower the water was very cold. Decided to have a cup of tea and the milk looked off , had lumps in it. No one asked us on reception how our stay was . I left a note in the room and also the cups with the milk in so they could see. This is not to our usual high standard of cleanliness that we pride ourselves in. Your comments have been passed on to our housekeeping team to ensure that this can be dealt with appropriately to avoid repeat occurrence.I was surprised to read your comment about the milk. The individual UHT milk portions that we provide on the tea trays have a Best Before date of the 24th March 2024.It is therefore expected for the milk to be without lumps. Unfortunately, it is not feasible for the staff to open each milk portion to check its freshness as this would render the milk portions useless. Had you brought this to our attention at the time, the staff at Reception would have been more than happy to provide you with fresh milk.Following your comment about the shower running cold water, the shower unit has since been tested, as running cold water is usually an indicator that part of the shower valve has failed. I am sorry that you feel our customer service on check out was not to your expectations, and whilst it is our standard to ask our guests how their stay was, our staff also rely on our guests to provide any feedback, good or bad, as this will then be dealt with the same day.Thank you again for bringing the above shortfalls to our attention. Very very strict about the 15.00 check in, I arrived at 14.40 but had to wait until 15.00, this isn't a complaint but I found it odd as the same staff were there are 14.40 as at 15.00 and nothing changed

Spring mattress of bed had seen better days.Towels and soaps replaced despite weekend stay and further use. Air conditioning very noisy and room stifling hot when turned off.

Stayed for one night - central location - reasonable price.
Property was a little tired and bathroom could have been cleaner but comfortable clean bed . One odd thing the kettle was located in the wardrobe and was hard wired in so had to be boiled in situ - assume thats to stop theft ! Overall perfect for a cheap overnight stay

What a fabulous hotel. Perfectly placed in the centre of Cardiff. Don’t be put off by it being on top of busy bars. We stayed on the 3rd floor and were not disturbed by any noise at all.

Arrived for the rugby so an obviously packed city. Dropped off bags early and the staff were kind enough to let us check in early as our room was ready. Very convenient for the city centre and great value for the quality of the hotel. Nice rooms, breakfast was good and staff always really helpful. You can hear noise from the street during the night - club music and people but they have put double-double-glazing in so its muffled and not an issue. If you expect to hear no noise being on one of the main streets in Cardiff on the weekend then you'd be foolish!
